Titanfall 2 had terrible sales... good game, but it was out sold by almost every holiday launch this year.

Its timing of release (what like between IW and BF1) is what causes that. It has no bearing on the game itself. What the first titanfall did (like this one) is manage to keep and secure a ground base. Not a game that is interesting one week then people leave. Tf2 plays the slow waiting game
