Should bungie increase the drop rates of skeleton keys?
Title says it all, should they increase the drop rates of skeleton keys? Unless theres a way to farm them, then please let me know.
Because right now, there are near impossible to get.

I think they're ok. The strike specific loot is supposed to be low drop percentage.

I've been torn since day one. Strike specific loot is awesome and par for the course in MMOs. I love being able to grind strike A to get item B. However, it also causes some strikes to be ignored because there's no desirable loot from certain ones. Bungie largely worked around loot issues like that with their RNG system (except exotics and raid loot), which always made me kinda sad. But I prefer people running strikes over and over so we can all play when we want, vs. sitting around for a half hour trying to find people for the strike you need. So yeah, good and bad both. If keys were easier to come by, everyone would aim for certain strikes [b][i]only[/i][/b] and bail on the ones they don't need at a higher rate than they already do now.

I've run a bunch of strikes. I don't know if they drop from the strikes you can select (I.e. I've spammed Sepiks Perfected 30+ times and have yet to get a key, but that could just be because it isn't a heroic modified strike), but I've gotten keys from the 320+ playlist. So you don't have to play heroic once you hit 365, if all you're looking for is keys and exotic engrams. That being said, out of the maybe 50+ heroic strikes I have played, I've only gotten maybe 4 keys, plus the 3 from Shiro. Should the key be a guaranteed drop? Hell no. But one every five strikes would be a lot cooler than one every twenty. It's kinda bullshit.

People wanted change Now strike specific loot guaranteed from a chest at the end of the strike. ...but you need a skeleton key in order to open it and access rewards.. And those skeleton keys are now the impossible items to get [spoiler]Boingo Logic[/spoiler]

One in 16 strikes over the weekend. It's ok though for now because I got the devil's dawn and the ogre's gauntlets from one chest and saving the other for the thorn quest.

Got 2 from 12 strikes..... pretty good rate considering the fact that they gave us back to ability to solo or two man everything

3 nightfall and about 7-8 heroic completions today and zero skeleton keys.

1 ReplyI say yes but only every so slightly, it should still have a rare and lucky feel so that you spend the keys wisely and don't just drown yourself on strike gear, it should feel like an award, not a chore to get yet another skeleton key.

This game is a grind, not a "hand me all the keys so I can open infinite amount of chests" I've gotten 2 keys in 2 days sure seems fine to me...

Ran strikes since RoI launch ive only gotten 5 keys. Pretty crazy.

Ran over 15 strikes, not 1 key. Was excited to do nf this morning before work and maybe at least score one key. Coins and crap and now they say it's bugged. Gee thanks for nothing Bungo.
