Thorn w/o the hate?
Am I the only one who really doesn't mind Thorn? I want to play with it in pubs but don't like the hate mail.

Use in Y1 crucible playlist. Less hate for it there. And it's been nerfed so much, why bother complaining, like really

1 ReplyThe only people that realy complained about thorn were folks who can't handle the occassional loss or getting killed. The real complainers are those who want every advantage over other player while opponents are disadvantaged.

I like it, also the if I remember correctly the sights on it are broken so you have to aim above the head to get a headshot. Also they nerfed the poison, and it sucks now, you only do like 2 damage per tic

Thorn takes a lot more skill then before to use, people should be sending mail about wow how great of a shot and aim you have, the lingering poison is a joke now, it's still a joy to hold and shoot the thorn and that sound it makes wow..

No you are not the only one. I wish it would have been brought in to year two but...i use it from time to time just for fun. I wish they would not have nerfed it in April. How effin dumb. Let's nerf a weapon that's not even a year two weapon. It was perfectly fine when they nerfed it for the TTK release and now it's just another hand cannon. Dumb.

Edited by I, RUSTLER OF JIMMIES: 7/30/2016 1:27:22 AMPersonally I think Thorn Just needed a Rate of Fire downgrade to something like the first curse while at the same time keeping it's low impact damage to compensate for the burn and landing two shots to start poison DoT instead of resetting poison DoT. I'm fine with it being a two shot kill, but to tag someone twice so fast and let them hopelessly burn to death was just wrong on so many levels. No Hate here, just think it is far from what it should be currently.

I loved it. It never bothered me one bit. I used the hell out of it in pve mainly. Over 14000 kills with it.

I still play with it now and again, get a lucky burn kill once in a while. It needs to come back. I'd like to see it competitive agian. Not year one levels, but competitive.

7 RepliesI didnt even hate thorn in yr1 in house of wolves we had q good amount of weqpons which could beat thorn. Like the triale pulse rifle we had bsck then! House of wolves was the best pvp experience!

7 RepliesNah just the minority of crucibabys who couldnt win. All guns were op in their own way. Hawkmoon, tlw, vex, truth, gjallarhorn etc.. so in the end it wasnt op and we should go back to the glorydays (how)

you know a gun was made right when people still hate it, I still use mine, one time I entered a match and then one by one everyone on both teams started equiping theirs. By the end it was thorn fest 2.0. so much fun :)
