Agreed. The game is less fun to play. Part of the problem is that the majority of year 2 weapons were all underwhelming when compared to year 1 archetypes. When the odd year 2 gun became popular a nerf followed shortly thereafter. That gun that just got nerfed became irrelevant and then you went deeper down the list to the next gun. HROF low impact pulse rifles will sadly be next on Bungie's anti-fun campaign. We will then end up using scout rifles exclusively.

Played the most boring game of doubles last night. Almost no primary weapon kills at all. It was a skirmish match that went to time because all 4 players spent the whole match hardscoped. I won but I still didn't enjoy it. I'm hoping for some serious primary weapon buffs.

This. This game is seriously a drag to play compared to Y1. No elemental primaries, all guns, including exotics are weak and underwhelming at best. Even at LL335, we feel like we're just surviving/just making it when, after we have killed Oryx and conquered CoE, we should feel like gods in all other PVE content. Even at max light level, some strike bosses on heroic list take 10-15 minutes to kill, which is stupid. If you killed oryx, why should a LL 260 boss take more than a couple of minutes to kill? We just have not felt the same power progression in Y2 that we had in Y1 due to the heavy focus of PVE and the weapon "balancing" for the sake of PVP. We don't need balance in PVE. We need fun. And big damage = fun. When was the last time you shot an enemy with a gun and went "HOLY @#$@#$!!!!! This gun's amazing!!!!" - Yeah, I can't remember either...

So we would bring back the following weapons categories Auto rifles: No range drop off and SUROS Regime would kill faster than a Treads Upon Stars with Rifled Barrel across the map Scout rifles: Last Extremity Archetypes would be able to 2-shot, Vision / Treads would be able to 3-shot, and SUROS DIS-47 would be 4-shot to the body Pulse rifles: Spare Change 2-shots, Red Death 3-shots, Grasp of Malok 4-shots Hopscotch Pilgrim is back to its old stats Hand Cannons: First Curse 2-shot to the body, Hawk moon 3-shots to the body (2-shots with luck in the chamber, and is able to triple stack 3 luck in the chambers for the legendary one shot kill) Thorn is brought back to house of wolves era Fusion rifles: Able to cross map, All nerfs to Pocket Infinity is undone, thus making it a Full Auto sniper. VEX MYTHOCLAST is now considered a heavy machine gun (after undoing all of its nerfs) (Trust me: having that much power in the primary slot would nuke the crucible all over again, thus making all buffs irrelevant) Shotguns: all shotguns become felwinters archetypes, no range drop off. Snipers: Final Round is brought back, luck in the chamber is able to one shot body shot. Also snipers are now able to roll with Luck in the Chamber AND Final Round >:D Rockets have their ammo nerf undone Machine guns have their ammo nerf undone And FIELD SCOUT is unnerfed, thus making Jolders Hammer have 60 rounds in one magazine again Crucible: Special now drops from guardians you kill (like before) and during heavy round, if you kill a guardian who has heavy, Heavy will drop from them. Also, reforging is now applicable to all weapons, year 1 legendaries are now able to be infused to max light (YAY EFRIDEET SPEAR), and of course bladedancer would be on top of the crucible toilet kingdom. Oh how I miss vanilla crucible.

Pulse rifles and scouts were definitely not nerfed... They should never have started to mess around with damage fall off at range though... That killed the pvp part :(
