How Hard is Dark Souls 3?
On a scale from 1 to 7
1 being super easy
7 being Halo 2 LASO

If you don't have patience, then it's hard. Most of the battles only require you to take your time.

It's a tricky game that not necessarily hard as I just has a learning curve. Once you figure out what's what you can literally win the final boss on DS1 with a ton of parry strikes.

1 ReplyIf you want the game to be a little hard do what I did and stay low level (i'm 28) and don't reinforce to much (I play with +1 weapons until Aldritch now i'm sitting on +3) To me this has the dual benifit of keeping my game difficult while not getting too many problems.

The only difficult thing in any Souls game is the learning curve. The games themselves aren't all that hard, it's all about remembering patterns. They aren't hard but they can be punishing. If you screw up, they make you pay for it. In Demon's Souls it was having to clear your way to the bosses again, in Dark Souls it isn't that bad but still sets you back a ways. There are some tough fights, i'm not saying they are easy games, but all fights have a strategy. As long as you don't play it like a hack n slash game you will be fine. You aren't Dante, being stabbed through the chest is more than just a minor inconvenience.

The difficulty that the souls games are known for is purely in the learning curve. Once you know the ropes they become far easier but by no means simple. I'd rate it hardest in the series due to just how many different attacks the bosses can do. I don't think a single boss in DS1 had more then 6 attacks; that's the minimum in DS3. That's just the boss perspective of difficulty. Different builds can make the game easier or harder. I.e. strength builds suffer during bosses but walk right over basic mobs. I wouldn't rate it LASO run difficult, but it's still not easy.

Depends on your skill with dark souls games. For me it ranges from 3 to 5 since I've played them alot but get screwed by bs shenanigans often with bosses.

I'm near the boss in Cathedral of the Deep and would say it's about a 4 so far. I have played a ton of DS 1 & 2 though.

If you play knight 1, if you play mundane like me then 7 ;-; the bosses aren't too bad it's getting there. Currently lvl 50 but no stat reaching 20. That's right I have 14 pts in Heath and in Ithryll dungeon.

5 RepliesI'm new to Dark Soul but who the -blam!- would rate it 7? I didn't even find it THAT hard. Yes it had it's difficult protions but some of it was also fairly easy like Yhorm, the Consumed King, the boss to get to Undead Settlement, that snake girl with the magic, Ancient Wyvern (the adds were harder than it) and don't get me started on that joke called Deacons of the Deep. Only truley hard portions were the final boss, the Dancer, and The Namless King. Every other fight was a challenge but not rage inducing for me.

Fairly easy at the start, then ramps up difficulty. I cleared it yesterday, looking for secrets before hitting NG.
