Really wanna get into this game, but I feel like the only people who play are light years ahead of me. There's no way I'll be able to compete.

You answered your question with another. Nice job. Is this game not PvP heavy? People grind for better gear just for more challenging PvE?

The game is focused mainly around pve. Most of it is a never ending mission until u decide to extract. U can be in a single game for over and hour. The longer u r in the mission the higher the enemy level gets and the more enemies spawn. Shit can get extremely hard even with the best stuff in the game.

Its focused on PvE coop. And in PvP there is a set list of things you can use so its not totally unbalanced. But i play for coop, more fun for me.

I got into it 3 days ago and I can keep up with most players in most scenarios. I started with Excalibur and often get called a noob because of my current frame, but I can definitely carry my weight. The rarer stuff starts rolling in, you just have to deal with 'forging timers'. Crafting a new rare weapon might take 24 hours, etc.

Excalibur is now one of the strongest frames.

Ash is a monster. One of the best offensive frames in the game.
