Go to the Mojave express place in primm and repair the robot. Next go to Novak at night and do the quest for the nighttime sniper Boone. Then you instantly have the best follower combo in the game. Longer radar from Ed-e (the robot) and when you ads enemy's are highlighted from Boone.
