Are Scuf Controllers as bad as people say they are? I'm on Ps4...
So I'm thinking of getting a Scuf Controller, but I have been hearing bad reviews. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

3 RepliesI've bought one and liked it when it worked properly. In 6 months of use the tactile switch for the X paddle has broken and sometimes I'm unable to double jump with it. Customer service also leaves a lot to be desired. I paid for the rush service on mine (48 hour build and ship) only to have it arrive two weeks later. Took them another week to respond to my C.S. Ticket asking for a refund on the rush service fee, but they did refund the fee with no hassle. With all that said, I will order another from them because I've become quite use to being to jump or crouch while aiming/ turning. I really like it if PS came out with a controller like the new Xbox one. I think that Xbox pro controller is going to put a major wrench into scuf and other companies like scuf's business.

My problem with scuff is that the controllers seem to break, I got one and my controller bugs out sometimes with the audio goes funny and people can't hear what I'm saying and vice versa and I lose control over pointing my analog sticks. Mine was a sent in controller which they built the paddles into it.

Look at the date on those reviews they are from a long time ago. I've been playing with a scuff for about 3 months now and I could never go back to a normal controller. I've had no issues with mine at all even though the grips and sticks have worn in a bit they still feel exactly the same as day 1.

I hated the PS3 paddles they break to easy. However the ps4 scuffs are much better haven't had a problem with them.

1 ReplyDude I play Xbox and was really big on aw and that helped a shit ton, the paddles make for lightning fast jumping and ducking. You can shade step faster, you can duck faster and you can jump shot and peak a lot better with the paddles. Sure, scufs are expensive but they are an invaluable investment.

2 RepliesI've heard some really bad things concerning Scuf, from terrible customer service to bad product reliability and even to high cost. On the flipside, I've heard many good things about a certain group of folks that also do Mods like Scuf, except that from what I've heard they are cheaper, better built, and friendlier. Give Evilcontrollers.com a look, see if they suit your needs. I plan on getting some gear from them later on down the line myself!

It makes it so you have an advantage over everyone else because it puts buttons on the underside so you don't have to take your finger off the r stick. This split second is what can cause you to lose in PVP or PVE. But if everyone is on the same page then it is skill and that is how it should be. Every time you add clips to make the sticks longer for more control button stops so you don't have to pull the trigger as far gives you an advantage over someone else. Might as well use aim bot or some other macro. I have no idea how good they work or how well they are made. Hope the best for you but I would just stick the the normal controller.
