That's really cool. Why'd you tag Ahamkara? I thought I was the only crazy one who compared the Worms to the Ahamkara

  • They are very similar in many ways, maybe they are one in the same maybe they are completely different but my theory is they were worms before the collapse and when the collapse happened they changed as they came out of the void

  • But the worms have been around for in game time millions upon millions of years ago. The collapse in game time wise would be about 800 years ago.

  • Yeah I'm just saying the collapse could have transformed them, it's a theory so I'm most likely wrong but when the collapse happened the void opened and what we know as the void is what oryx knows as the deep

A worm calls Aurash "Oh Vengeance, mine" or something. Reminds me of the ahamkara and their "Oh Bearer, mine..." talk. Edit: Or was it Xi Ro the worm called that?

Yeah, exactly. There's a LOT of reference to the Ahamkara there. Pretty sure they explicitly say something about dragons somewhere... And now that you mention it, it might've been Xivu's. I'll go re read it and see. Edit: From what I've read, saying "oh _____ mine" might just be an old way of speech, as both the Worms and the sisters say stuff like "oh vengeance mine" and "oh sisters mine".
THE DRAGONS. Our gods should be ours alone. Their smug freedom is an insult to me. I’d shut them all in cells. Bring them to me!
"Our gods should be ours alone" Interpretation: The worms should only give to the 3 sisters and their hive. Sub Interpretation: The Dragons also have access to the worms (otherwise there would be no reason for jealousy with this motivation) "Their smug freedom is an insult to me." Interpretation: The relationship that the hive have with the worms is of subservience, they MUST fulfil their oaths or their worms will consume them. Hence the hive are not free. Somehow the Dragons are.
“But you gave us your larvae, the worm,” said Auryx, “and that is why the worm devours us now: because it was given, not taken. So I must take what I need from you, although you are my god.
Perhaps the Dragons never made a deal with the worms. Perhaps they took from the outset, never ATE a worm, never had a parasitic relationship with them. A reason for jealousy indeed. "I’d shut them all in cells. Bring them to me!" Interpretation: Killing is hive Love. Xivu Arath would not show such love to the Dragons. She would incarcerate them for ever. This is hive punishment, as applied to Darkblade.

  • The sisters might say stuff like that because of the worms inside them, if it were just an old way of speaking, I feel like Bungie would have placed it in places that are obviously not able to be connected to the Ahamkara so we would know. I think them using it in relation to the worm gods as a way of giving us that connection.
