Three of Coins - After Patch in game summary
I did maybe 10 Heroic Level 41 Strikes and used one a Coin at the begining. So thats 10 Coins and 10 Strikes. Not even 1 Exotic dropped ? So I am done with this Shit . You can wait for Xur to sell the Exotics you want, this is faster than waiting for the drops. What was or is your experience ?

1 ReplyHappened to me twice that there was no exotic engram on the floor, but it showed up at the post office. Was a nice little perk that I wasn't expecting.

1 Reply5-10. Highly variable. I'm fine with this and think it works the way it should. Do the math on coins per exotic. It's pretty close to what Xur charges, and may be cheaper. This way is also a lot more exciting and gives me something to look forward to mid week.

1 ReplyRemember the loot cave days? Most people loved it, but some just had to complain. I remember people would literally go sit inside the cave to prevent enemy spawns and thwart farmers from getting loot. Why care so much about how other people complain? Are the YouTube people who post dead ghost location videos and golden chest location videos all bad boys and girls because they post their guides? This is like that. We discover a great tool for farming exotics. I burned 150 strange coins last Saturday and picked up 18 exotics. Very happy about that. Now, three of coins drops almost nothing. Are you happy now, complainers? On a side note, I'm thrilled about picking up Hawkmoon today from Xur.

1 Reply90% of my exotic drops are arms. All ive wanted is the supercell and the only weapon engram i got was for a last word (pretty much after the patch, the most useless exotic out). I have used over 120+ 3 of coins. Pretty much wasted all my strange coins on arms that i cant use for anything. Is it just my luck or are other people getting similar drops?

1 ReplyYesterday I joined a fireteam doing a 35 story and an exotic dropped at the boss. We then went and started the nightfall, but didn't finish. We then started the daily heroic story and I used a coin and another exotic dropped. One was a dup and one was the suros. So, back to back coins got exotic drops in story missions...not that that means anything just passing it along.

1 ReplyThey're definitely not worth it anymore, not really that they ever were. Before sure it was easy exotics but the loot system is still completely screwed. Even if you did get plenty of exotics, you're gonna get a crap ton of duplicates... After all this talk about Bungie saying it would be less rare... Now it happens more frequently than ever...

3 RepliesIt's astonishing the sense of entitlement so many players have. All drops should be fewer and harder to earn - it adds more value to them when you finally do get them. It also creates a much stronger dopamine rush and bond w the game. If you complain about drop rates, you're clearly under the age of 25 and have grown up a spoiled, whiney, self-entitled brat. Embrace challenge and effort for doing something, you'll be surprised at how rewarding it is rather than just being handed something for just showing up. Average drop rate for three of coins is 3.5/20 try it out. That's a phenomenal drop rate. Quit bitching and man/woman-up.

Glad I did last minute farming before the patch on my level 300 toon and got a few more 310 exotics. They should have left it though since it was working pulling strange coins from hoarders. I was sitting on 1400 when TTK launched and spent more than half of it already.
