The chaperone is one of the funnest guns there is in destiny to use , at its furthest range I believe the slug actually dips and its has the range of a party crasher+1 with rifled barrel and shot package with its perk active if you get a headshot.

I used a party crasher like that back before TTK dropped and it sounds about right. Just Chaperone has a much higher RoF and reload speed so you can handle more targets more readily than something like PC+1/ Matador 64/ or Felwinters lie would even dream to be able to handle if all people involved in such a engagement were equally skilled.
