When I started on Destiny, I hooked it to my 52" plasma and it was beautiful. I continued to play on this tv through all of the stories and raids, etc.
When I started playing PvP I was getting crushed. I got to know the maps and feel of Destiny crucible, but would still get my ass kicked.
Switched to a 24" computer monitor a month or so ago and it made a world of difference. Not saying I'm that good at crucible, but since the switch I've made multiple flawless trials runs and my KD is actually starting to move upwards. Even had to increase my sensitivity to 6-7 on the monitor.
Is there something to this? What do the good PvP'rs play on?
EDIT: Sounds like most agree that the smaller monitor is helpful. If playing on a big screen, you need to enable game mode to make sure the TV isn't trying to output at a higher refresh rate than the game is capable.
PS. I really appreciate all the well thought out posts and great info from all posters. This has been a troll free refuge filled with great people and great info. Keep it up everyone.

I played on a 50" forever and was okay... I just got a new 65" UHD TV and it took some time, but I got my skills back. I'm doing better now than before. I think it doesn't really matter unless you're extremely competitive, you can adapt to almost anything.

32 inches has always served me best. Big enough to snipe far away opponents, and small enough to not lag too much during PVP.

3 RepliesMy k.d is 2.23 and rising and I play on a 42"

I can only play big screen. Small screens just don't compute with me. Has to be 50 or bigger personally.
-
I've went flawless 46 times on a 42" Vizio. e.o

I play on a 6 foot tall projected screen and my K/D is abysmal. I'm getting a new computer with 4k monitor in January. The monitor will be about 32 inches. I'm gonna try PvP on it and see if there is a difference. I doubt it though... I think I'm just bad haha.

3 RepliesI play on a 55" 4k. My stats speak for themselves...

I have played on a 55" since launch. Turns out I have crazy latency on my screen, so much so that when I snipe I will see three reticles. I still manage to pull a 2.5 KD but I am still looking forward to grabbing a monitor to play on.

I have to up the sensitivity on bigger tvs.
-
That is why tv's have game mode, it pretty much bypasses a certain chip and gives you monitor-like response time. Just turn on game mode and you're good to go.

Got a 60 and I'm decent at PVP in destiny, maybe slightly above average or better. But in halo I'm a god So yes you can be good on a big tv it's just a little harder

3 Repliesat home i play on a 48' TV, at my beach house i play on a 60', their is such a bi difference to the point where i cant play Destiny at my beach house rip
-
I play exclusively on a 50" plasma, I don't feel handicapped, but I am used to it from the halo 3 days.
-
42 inch ( yes I know my K/D is 1.07 but I allow my son who is 4 to play, otherwise im pretty good) 2 unbroken
-
I have a 55 and a 32. Normally play on the 32 but when I plugged in to the 55 it did take getting used to. I even sucked at PvE
-
I have a 42 inch tv and if you take out my shitty start to destiny Id have over a 2kd.
-
1 ReplyIt is not necessarily the size of the tv but computer monitors update the screen much faster. On big Tvs there may be processing done to make the picture more attractive, but it can delay the picture just long enough to throw your shots.
-
I play on a 65" and im pretty good. 7/10 if i had to rate myself.

2 RepliesAnything more than 35' is meant for Netflix and chill.

No way man, I agree Destiny looks beautiful on Big screens but I just can't do PVP on them.
-
I have around a 1.7-1.8 overall and I play on a 55"
-
I play on 32' inch 4k Vizio an it's perfect!
-
65 inch. And I'm a sniper.
-
Im pretty good and I play on a 65"

My k.d went down .6 when I switched from a 22" computer monitor to a 48" flat screen. It was/is very hard to tell now wether my sensitivity is even set right, whereas before everything was perfect.
