don't see why a hard drive is anything special
id only be mad if there was actual improvement and not just extra space

It is actually a performance upgrade as well. The new consoles will use an ssd hybrid drive, which offers up to 20% faster load times and better overall performance than the current HHDs installed. So it's more than just memory. With that being said, anybody could easily purchase an external ssd or hybrid drive themselves for less money and get the same benefits (the only difference being that the os will still be installed on the hhd, so not everything will perform as well). Its not as big an issue as the OP is making it out to be.
