Everything you eat today has been modified. Left is the natural true organic plant of corn and the right well you know a GMO. That you eat. Also try and find me a seedless watermelon in the wild.

Nice. I've been trying to educate people on how genetic engineering isn't inherently harmful. I wish more people were aware that GMOs are, for the most part, safe.

5 RepliesSo is GMO harmful? That corn on the right looks pretty tasty...

3 RepliesAlso, nearly everything except strawberries are GMO. That is one of the only plants that grows in the wild the same as it is farmed today. That's right, everything at Whole Foods is also GMO. Not transgenically altered, but GMO. Big difference.

Thank you. Corn built the Aztec Empire, whereas teosinte (the one on the left) was practically useless.

Daily reminder everything is trying to rob you, even corporoations who make food

That everything we eat has been modified, doesn't mean it's good. Thanks to the poor practices while growing GM Bananas, they could face extinction. Also, changing the ecosystem purely to satisfy our dietary needs may have bad long term effects, needless to say about short term. Having said that, I'm not against GMOs.

Most people confuse GMO with transgenic modification. There's needs to be more education about this. Too many people are going around thinking GMO is bad without knowing what these 2 things actually mean.
