Cabal Actually Good Guys?
With the info from the grimoire and the trailer for TTK could the cabal be in the same situation as us?
Could they be against the darkness like us?

7 RepliesAccording to Grimoire (apparently), Cabal aren't actually enemies of the guardians. They just took over Mars and have bases set up there now. According to some third-party source, the Cabal and Fallen are allies (apparently). This hasn't been busted because they have never come in contact in Destiny.

2 RepliesEach of the groups of enemies you encounter are against the rest of the enemies in game, they're only working for their own race's progression/future. The Cabal dislike you, Guardians, but they also dislike everyone else who is not of the Cabal race. I don't think they're necessarily "good guys" but they seem less of a threat with the introduction of the Taken.

5 Replies(Have not watched video I will later). Wait, it is known that the Cabal and Fallen are on very friendly terms. We as guardians have teamed up with an entire Fallen House (of Judgement, Variks is the only known member so he still counts). Also it is presumed that the Cabal are running from Oryx, a god-like enemy to the city etc. So with the Cabal seeing that we can co-operate with the Fallen [b]AND[/b] the fact that we have two common enemies (Vex and Oryx), they, alongside other lesser known Fallen houses, could possibly be allies in future installments/DLC.

11 RepliesI'd say we're still at war with them. They don't have to be bad guys to be at war with us. I'm sure some of those cabal are pretty nice chum, but they were attacking our territory and trying to take advantage of our technology and they even messed with Rasputin. Granted... Rasputin may have messed with them first. Fair to say we chose sides.

The cabal are fleeing the darkness (aswell as the fallen, they are allies.) However, the cabal are still not our allies in TTK as in the cidoc showed us fighting cabal that have not been taken. It's an interesting storyline and I can't wait to see it continue in the taken king.

What's the saying? "Enemy of my enemy is my buddy". We're probably enemies but in the threat of something like Oryx we can put aside our beef and stop Oryx from killing us all. Only we can kill the Cabal. Anyone that wants to try has to go through us lol.

5 RepliesI was doing the story missions over for kicks and giggles recently and one of the missions on the moon (the first one I think) tells us that the hive visited many worlds that had already been taken over by the darkness. This suggests that not even the hive are the darkness. Mind blown.

They are bumping into us because they need a place to live. The hive, on the other hand, are the big bad in two out of three expansions (Crota and TTK). [u]I think this makes them more likely to be the real bad guys.[/u] The House of Wolves makes the fallen more sympathetic in my opinion, so I think they aren't the big bad. The House of Wolves is more about the internal politics of the fallen and their interactions with The Reef. The vex are more of a mystery. They may not be allies of The Darkness. I think it is more likely that the vex are a species that was attacked by The Darkness and have traveled through time to try to stop it. It's not clear to me that the vex are alive. They look and act like robots. Perhaps they were built by someone and sent to fight? To my knowledge there are no vex on Earth or The Reef. The vex are in places where there are fallen, cabal and hive and the vex fight them. They may have been sent by The Traveler (or us) to clear the fallen, cabal and hive out. We humans are in the final battleground and everyone will make a stand here. TL;DR: The hive are the big bad and everyone else is running from them and trying to fight them. The vex are our allies or potential allies.

Yes in the grimiore it says they are running from a darkness (probably the Hive and Oryx bc they get attacked by them in the TK mission

2 RepliesThey are actually not an enemy.... Take for example the gates of the vex in mars.... We simply walked into their territory uninvited same with the Vex.... They aren't our enemy.... So far they been minding their own business... They could easily take over earth, Venus and the moon.... But they settled on mars and been minding their own business.... Their only real beef was with the Vex who tried taking over mars because they are mindless pointless machines.... We fight them, only because they are a very hostile race, they marked mars as their own.... So they will protect it....

1 ReplyDude they blow up planets just for getting in there way! Because you know it's super easy to blow up planets.... but stopping 3 guardians well that's much more difficult.
