If you think about it, Jar Jar is to blame for the fall of the Republic. When Padme handed him her place on the Senate, he devoted all emergency power towards the Chancellor (The Emperor/Darth Sidious). Then as he got control he turned the Republic army against the Jedi to gain control over Coruscant and build his Empire.[spoiler]Jar Jar is a -blam!-ing idiot[/spoiler]
