I never use nova in a panic situation just die, it's so much better used killing the whole team at heavy ammo or to kill off pesky Titan bubbles. The only time it's acceptable to hit in panic is bladedancers as this can save your team from being murdered.

I'm not so sure that we ALL know coz I seem to be one of the few doing it in crucible. Half seem unaware what heavy ammo is and the rest just wanna grab it for themselves. I always have a super ready for heavy it's pretty much the only time I will use it.
