If you want to see the Pillar of Autumn on classic graphics for the first cinematic, start the mission, and when you're in-game, switch to classic graphics. Then press start and hit re-start mission.

What an awful way to get there. Why the hell did 343 do it like that?

Edited by ROBERTO jh: 4/28/2015 10:46:49 AMThe original game had the option to choose classic graphics before starting the game by hitting the back button in the main menu, which would change the menu background to classic mode as well. Since the MCC does't have a menu that can be effected by classic vs anniversary, you can't select classic mode before entering the game, and you can't change graphics mid cutscenes in CEA. Comes with CEA being a port, it's not a glitch. Edit: is their an option in the menu?

There was an option in the main menu of CEA on 360, and it is also present in the MCC. For some reason, choosing classic graphics & soundtrack works only on setting the soundtrack back to classic. Which means the only way to see the Pillar of Autumn's first cinematic on classic graphics, you have to press back button, or whatever they call that button, to switch graphics, and restart the mission.

In all honesty, I do consider it a bug. On the Xbox 360 version of the game, when you select classic graphics & soundtrack on the main menu, the classic cinematic plays. At least the classic soundtrack has no issues, it seems to be just that first cinematic.
