I would recommend talking to your dad first. Feel him out about the subject without directly addressing the problem to see how he reacts. If you guys are close he may open up to you about it, if he does you may be able to get him to handle it better. The best way that can be resolved is for your dad to address the issue himself.

And while you're at it, look up ways to tell when someone is lying so you can tell if they are or aren't when he says he's not
