Actually it's pronounced gatlahorn
-
I too heard this. Supposedly it is Icelandic.
-
Yeah that's what I heard
-
Edited by Ninja Troll: 3/23/2015 4:18:32 PMTechnically Gjallarhorn is pronounced Gattlahorn. Planet destiny had a guy who speaks the language on once
-
Technically it's either. It's one of those words that have 2 different pronunciations depending on what ethnic people are speaking it. Icelandic is Gatlehorn Normandic is Yallarhorn Much like how we pronounce color as cuh-lur But British people say cah-lore Sorry, can not think of a better example off the top of my head
-
Oh ok, good point! I didnt know it was Normandic! Interesting... is there a translation for it maybe?

In Norse mythology , Gjallarhorn (Old Norse "yelling horn" or "the loud sounding horn") is a horn associated with the god Heimdallr and the wise being Mimir. Gjallarhorn is attested in the Poetic Edda , compiled in the 13th century from earlier traditional material, and the Prose Edda , written in the 13th century by Snorri Sturluson. I'm from Norway, and enjoy Norse mythology.

Booorrrrinng it's Galla F SHART UP!!!
-
Well, technically it's not galla, it's gjallarhorn, as I just wrote. But if you want to keep calling it galla that's on you.
