Ever since (seemingly) the latest Xbox One system update about two weeks ago, I'm getting this ridiculous problem. It only happens while playing Destiny, and it's only been during Crucible matches. The internet/network connection is terminated, and when I go back to the dashboard, all I can access is the "Home" tab, and can see never-ending spinning circles to the sides where Friends and Pins would be.
I get a "weasel" error when this happens, but everything network/internet related on the console just completely shuts down. The only way to fix it is to hard reset, because the Xbox doesn't seem to want to turn off, either. I'll shut it down, and the front power button will endlessly pulse, never fully turning off.
I tried testing the network connection after this happened a few times, getting different results, like "can't find an IP address" or "can't find a network." I've also power cycled the network and console several times. Everything returns to normal after I turn it back on, but hard-resetting the console several times a day is an absolute nightmare.
I've found a handful of people with the same exact problem, but Microsoft won't acknowledge the problem. I never have had a single connection issue, I have open NAT, no other device on the network loses connection when this happens... it is only the Xbox, and nothing has changed on my end other than Xbox and Destiny updates (though this started happening before any recent Destiny update).

Still have this problem. This is really starting to piss me off. I've NEVER had a single connection issue before 3 weeks ago, this continues to happen ONLY with Destiny, and ONLY in 2 very specific scenarios: during a Crucible match, and while turning in a bounty/engram. Getting really sick of forcing my Xbox off with hard resets, that can't be good for it. 30+ times now...

6 RepliesHi az, This issue:
I'll shut it down, and the front power button will endlessly pulse, never fully turning off
Is because you are not doing the hard shut down and it is not truly clearing cache at this point. We have steps on shutting down the Xbox One here: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12539 Could you attempt this and see if this resolves your issue? Additionally, if you are playing on wireless connections, please attempt a wired connection to see if this resolves the network connection test

Happened 4 times today now in a short period of time, way more than usual. This last time it just happened in the tower... WTF? Connection capability COMPLETELY shut down until hard reset. This is insane.
