Opt in/out would be my preference. V2k can be abused by trolls.

It can be. I'm glad this thread was constructive in discovering a better method than V2K

With opt in/out you would still get afkers but people will deal with that how they see fit.

As they have been. If I start a strike and get to the first section before anyone even moves, I usually leave - unless I troll the AFKers, that's fun too!!
