A few weeks ago, Xur sold the Suros Regime. This forever changed the Crucible, all guardians having an extremely powerful weapon in their hands.
If Xur sells The Last Word tomorrow, or any other day for that matter, that would mark the end of the Crucible as we know it. You couldn't step a foot without being gunned down by a pistol whipping badass.
Feel free to explain why you agree/disagree in the comments.

I dont even use primary weapons no more Shotguns for CQB, Fusion rifles in midrange my K/D has never been higher
-
3 RepliesI disagree with the badass part, anyone who relies on a fully automatic weapon is a scrub bitch.
-
12 RepliesI have to disagree with you. The Last Word is a powerful weapon there is no doubt about that. However many will not use it to its potential and will be very ineffective with it. There is a learning curve to a weapon like this and it is not as simple as aiming and holding the right trigger down. Some will not understand how the gun works effectively, lose interest, and go back to the primaries they were using before (Suros). I have played against many people that also have the Last Word but I pick them apart with mine without sustaining much damage from them. Some people wouldn't know what to do up close, some wouldn't know what to do with it at a distance, some would try to use the hipfire all the time (If you aren't aiming this weapon most of the time then you are doing it wrong). I could always be wrong but I suspect this is what would happen if it were sold.

1 ReplyRemove exotic weapons completely from the crucible , that way they could be buffed for pve.
-
Because hand cannons take more skill. Skilled player>good gun any day this was proven in IB when people were using the blue guns to wreck. Don't get me wrong people can use a good gun as a crutch but not something like a hand cannon where it takes precision and thought. 8 round clip low range okaaay impact. But it's true player skill that puts the OVER in overpowered.

7 RepliesThe last word has a short range. If everyone were start using the last word then i'll be owning them all with my VOC scout rifle or Thorn. Now, wipe those tears of your face and man up !
-
Not everyone can whip a pistol like a bad ass. I'm talking about me lol
-
Plan C.
-
I suppose that would make the crucible the wild west. And I'm perfectly okay with that.
-
The Crucible will become the wild west... That's all I have to say... Space Cowboys!!

1 ReplyWhy is it OP?
-
6 RepliesDunno what people are talking about. I rarely lose to suros (before and after nerf) with various weapon choices. Including red death, universal remote, ice breaker, etc etc. People are obsessed with some weapons being OP but i take them out regularly. The weapons are balanced man. If someone has a shotgun, use a sniper. Each weapon has another that can overtake it in different senarios. Tired of getting kiled by a certain exotic weapon? Then stop using the same weapon you died with last time.
-
Suros forever changed the crucible? Did I miss something because people still suck. With or without that overrated weapon.
-
It's all down to play-style and skill. Crucible has survived Plan C, Suros, Heavies, Pocket Infinity, Mythoclast, shotguns, etc. It will continue to 'survive', whatever that means. Just yesterday I played 4 games where 2 people spammed Pocket Infinity and 2 were spamming Plan C all on the enemy team. I was switching between Lord High Fixer and Vision of Confluence. We lost the first game, then adapted to account for the Fusion Rifle spam, and won the next 3 games in a row. Fusion spammers left. Adapt and overcome to challenges, it's a part of life and it's a part of video games. No biggie.
-
It's already broken, fusion rifles and shotguns still run rampant
-
Say hello to my full auto vision of confluence
-
I recently made the switch from pulse rifle to Hawkmoon and I'll telll you that there is an adjustment period. Those that can stick with it and learn more about the gun in certain situations will find handcannons really rewarding. Those that cannot will switch back.
-
Totally agree, the crucible will be more of a cluster-blam!- than it already is.
-
My invective disagrees
-
No dude. There's a learning curve to hand cannons. I expect the vast majority of auto rifle users will use auto rifles in the Crucible after The Last Word comes out because either they can't/use it properly and will bitch on the forums or they will store/dismantle/switch back to auto rifles since it doesn't cater to their play style. Such a biased thread I'm wondering why I even bother posting in here.

1 ReplyI have the last word. Not that powerful low magazine.
-
4 RepliesI play hunter and currently own last word, hawkmoon and Thorn, out of them 3 last word is what I use least Hawkmoon is amazing on PvE and I really enjoy using Thorn for pvp, last word is good don't get me wrong but all its perks make you hip fire and with a hand cannon that is more difficult then it seems
-
No it won't because the majority of Crucible people do not use hand cannons. I like using Thorn because most times I can kill people with it outright and worst case scenario is they die right after killing me. Plus I don't use hand cannons in PvE so the only time I really get to use them is in Crucible. The only time I see other hand cannon users is after I've killed someone 5 times in a row with one and then they'll bust out Hawkmoon or whatever out of frustration.
-
1 ReplyI have hawkmoon if they would stop these fusion shotgun noobs and it was an all around gun slinging fest Id actually play the game again. I'm waiting until he sells this.
-
It will survive it. If everyone gets one and it becomes a requirement a la pre-nerf ARs, it will be scaled back. Ebb and flow: The quest for balance is never really done.
-
Yep if it's not a suros it's some form of shotgun.
