Does anyone else find them to be quite flimsy? On both my controllers the stuff is starting to come off, and I don't even play it that much.

Mine are fine. I've had it since launch.
-
It is a common flaw, Sony will replace it, warrenty isn't an issue as long as you have proof
-
I know a lot of people were complaining about this when it first came out. It seems to be pretty cheap plastic.
-
Mine are fine and I've been using them for weeks now...

9 RepliesYeah it's a known problem with a few DS4s, I seem to be alright (200+ hours so far) but I bought some grip-its to protect the sticks because getting a replacement would be obscenely expensive. They are £5-$7 and you can get them pretty much anywhere (Amazon <.<) and they'll keep your controller working even if the rubber starts to wear away.

3 RepliesEdited by StateCat: 3/23/2014 9:33:21 PMThey are okay. I've tried the PS4. Didn't wow me like the PS3. It is way better though. I admit I hate the PS3 controller. And this is a huge change. However, I will always like the Xbox 360 and One controller better. Microsoft has an amazing talent with making a controller that conforms to your hand perfectly.

14 RepliesPeople are so insecure about what console they picked. I've seen so much of this console war, I'm literally about to puke.

4 RepliesAH HA, YES! WIN FOR XBOX, WIN FOR MICROSOFT! -blam!- THE JAPANESE! USA! USA! USA! USA! THE PONIES WILL FALL!
-
Mine seem to be fine.

Eh heard (1* or thought up for some reason) that Sony recalled them and are starting to sell better made controllers. 1* I have had really dumb moments where thoughts have become truth for me.
-
I also had problems with the thumbsticks on ps controllers. It's one of the main reasons I tend to play my games on other consoles.
-
47 RepliesSony make low-quality products, always have, they started off making knock-offs like Samsung. Samsung are also crap

Mine are totally fine and I've over 400 hours logged on them. I have seen posts about this problem before though.

Played with mine nonstop since console release. Beat BF4, beat AC black flag, beat need for speed, beat MGS ground zeroes, beat killzone SF, beat PC version of dark souls, and now playing infamous second son with them. No wear and tear at all on either of my 2 controllers.
-
They shouldn't be coming off. You're smacking your controller too hard.
-
2 RepliesDo you grip tightly on the thumbsticks? I know the thumbsticks on my Xbone are barely worn because I have a feather-touch. Just try not to get too rough.
-
Same here

PS4
There's your problem

Really? Most people are saying they're good. The DualShock 4 reminds me on the original Sony Analog Controller; it has the same thumbsticks and larger size, and it's awesome.

MS fanboys incoming.
-
They're quite honestly the best damn thumbsticks I've ever used.

28 RepliesSony cut a lot of corners to get the PS4 price down so far. It'll all come to the surface eventually.

2 RepliesThe quality of the rubber on the sticks is apparently pretty bad

2 RepliesI think they're kinda small but I still like them.
