Honestly, I don't see why bungie would give up halo, this was their biggest thing, though i am very excited for destiny, I think to the back of my mind, whats going to happen to halo? 343 is not the rightful owner, bungie is, but if they don't want to remember the past, then, well, whats going to happen? Will 343 be bigger than bungie?

  • Bungie didnt renew there Halo contract because they knew it was time for Halo to die. The story was over, Bungie probably ended H3 the way they did because they knew Micro$oft would want to continue the series. As much as I love it, it's the inconvienent truth.

  • Give up Halo? Microsoft owns Halo and Bungie was forced to make halo games and only halo games. They wanted to expand and make new experiences, but Microsoft wouldn't let them.

  • No. 343 ruined the game in a lot of ways. Halo should be discontinued now that Destiny is released. Most of the Halo games have been said to be loaded with testing features for a larger project. Like the space level in Reach. Bungie's games give you more content, polished, and games that are harder to make and can't be pumped out every six months. Let Halo die for a while, Reach was its pinnacle. Bungie invented matchmaking bro. What more could you want? Get on the BUS, dude.

  • I have to assume that you're speaking only of the multiplayer, brotanical garden. Since you're slick enough to write "Its," will do so. Only do campaign myself. If you were talking campaign... Well...I don't know how many puke buckets I'd require for laughing at your statement. 'Loaded with testing features...' Well...that might vaguely explain Reach... What a steamer for us campaigners.

  • @Awesome Kid 21: Bungie never owned any part of the Halo franchise. Microsoft ownes, and has always owned, 100% of Halo. Microsoft brought Bungie on-board the "Halo Train" when Microsoft needed a software, interface, and graphics designer. 343 Industries is a Microsoft-owned corporation. When Microsoft created 343 Industries, they figured that they would rather keep all of Halo's rights in Microsoft"s posession, in stead of being in-joint with Bungie.

  • Almost completely true. Halo was a Bungie idea that Microsoft needed and bought. Bungie got to keep their name and experience. As well as a nice 10 year nest egg payout.
