Hello, I've been sober from this game for about a year now. How long will it take you to go sober as well?

1 ReplyCongrats. Can't do it. Despite my complaints. It's kinda a story I'll commit to the end, like watching the last season of Game of Thrones. I'm invested in garbage. I'll watch it hit rock bottom.

Once a addict, always a addict.

Why are you lying lol you played the game 6 months ago… Still got half a year before you can sit on your high horse.
-
I’m getting there. I’m playing mother games and enjoying it for a change.

I don't know. I go through spurts, but haven't done a GM in a month, which is solid. . There's very little left for me in Destiny 2. So I've been playing Destiny 1 since the start of December (never played it). A really nice change and I've been enjoying Destiny again, albeit Destiny 1.

But posts on the forums.💀

2 RepliesIf you considered yourself an addict and you come here to tell everyone that you've been sober for a while then you're trying to convince people of something you're not sure of yourself.
-
If you’re posting in a forum to a game you no longer play then I hate to tell you princess - you’re still addicted.

2 RepliesEdited by The Hermit IX: 1/14/2025 12:07:57 AMIt’s sad how some assume their personal addiction issues is a reasonable explanation for what is simply a fun hobby for most people. Maybe delete the app if you have an unhealthy interaction with the game otherwise nobody is buying you’re a former addict. 7 months isn’t a year either.

1 ReplyThis isn't an issue for me, I play the game when I enjoy it and stop playing the game when I dont enjoy it.
-
3 Repliesbut you haven’t best your addiction or you wouldn’t be here on this forum.
-
3 RepliesAbout a year? Last time you played was June 3rd.
-
Such a sanctimonious post
-
12 RepliesAddiction? How come you only earned 2 seals as an "addict"?
-
Moderation brother… that will keep you from the shed of no return

1 ReplyLike any addiction it gets easier with time.

3 RepliesMental illness is rough- good luck on fighting those daemons. Being easily addicted to things must be a rough life to live…

1 ReplyI don’t need to stop playing permanently to become “sober”. I generally play in short term bursts of activity when there’s something I want to do/get. The rest of the time I don’t log on. I am not ‘drunk’ on Destiny, or needing to ‘sober up’.
