…a great idea at its core with a stupendously well designed and great-fun bonfire activity
BUT
it’s combined with a confusing and very resource-expensive upgrade path that ultimately results in poorly rolled armor.
In my opinion, if the reward was excellent rolls ALSO with the extra +3 stat slot, then the work and the huge material expense would be justified.
As it is, hours of play are rewarded with an instant dismantle and a few far-less-than-thrilling guns.

I like the idea of the bonus stat slot but that may be asking a bit much. With a ghost mod equipped, I've had reasonable luck getting decent high-stat drops from the armor bounties with minimal effort. Once I had the initial crap-stat drop anyway.

I think I'm just going to buy the ornaments from eververse.

Glows look amazing but overshadowed by arguably the worst grind ever

I've had several 68 high spike rolls of armour and way more at a point or 2-3 lower. I've had a ton of weapons drop with I'm sure every conceivable roll. I dunno what you're doing to not get what you need/want, but IMO it ain't anywhere near hard or "too grindy". It's the easiest version we've ever had and probably drops the best gear we've ever had. It's also relatively easy to work out how to complete with the bounties. My only complaint would be that the EAZ has become too easy and boring. 5 spawn zones for enemies and half the map not used anymore is kinda lame when compared to what it used to be. But it ain't hard.
