Just leave it alone. Whether it's being slammed by top 5% players, or just having to deal with the rampant toxicity, you don't have to deal with it. You are not obligated to take part.
If you are not having fun, play a different mode or a different game. Don't get all twisted up in your own pride.

2 RepliesOr keep playing, bad players are going to get carried to a flawless if they play enough.
-
7 RepliesThis is terrible advice. If bad players don't populate the playlist, how are the better ones supposeed to enjoy it? 😠
-
2 RepliesMost players just can’t accept that they’re bad and that they need to practice in general crucible first if they want to improve 🤷🏼

2 RepliesEdited by Icey Wynge: 3/19/2024 4:54:42 AM
If you are not having fun,

You are not obligated to take part.
Ima just leave this here for the people in the back… This applies to the entire game as well. Not happy? Don’t play. You wanna play even though you know it still sucks? Don’t whine about it. Everyone knows the game mostly sucks rn. The people still playing don’t care. Please don’t continually complain about something you knowingly got yourself into. Please.

3 RepliesEdited by Zoidberg: 3/17/2024 3:40:10 AMYep. Or go in with the expectation of losing every game
-
Not every game mode has to please you and that’s ok.
-
Absolutely, once the trials population gets low enough, Bungie will stop wasting time on it.
-
I personally want the trials population up and for ppl to play it. That being said ppl take this to heart. It's not mandatory. You don't need anything in it. And adepts won't make everything better. Play what you enjoy. Let others enjoy what they play.
-
21 RepliesAn alarming amount of people in this forum appear to play things they don’t enjoy.
-
I'd say you've boiled it down to the simplest possible solution.
-
2 RepliesOh don't worry, I got 7 wins in a row and it didn't count as a light house run even tho the card showed flawless. Would have been first lighthouse run ever. Bungie just made me never want to do trials again with that crap.

1 ReplyEdited by A_mo: 3/18/2024 11:05:15 PMSecond persistence passage was excruuuuuciatings! Still got the gun thooooo.

3 RepliesWhat I did after throwing my face against the wall for 15 matches with the Passage of Persistence and not being able to get more than one win was to turn the game off and go play Helldivers. Honestly, Persistence feels WORSE than even Mercy or Ferocity. Why? Because having a win removed, especially average solo where it can be tough to get two wins in a row, is a terrible feeling. Worse still when you win the first match and then lose the next two and have to reset your card. I'd rather just get to 7 wins and take a normal weapon than do all the ridiculous work for a single adept. I'd rather go farm a GM for Adepts and better other rewards. People thought Persistence was going to help boost the Trials population. In it's current form, it's not, as most people aren't going to grind 70 games to get one Adept. It's not worth it. I expect the population to fall pretty hard over the next few weeks unless Bungie makes a change.

13 RepliesEdited by ARNAGHAD: 3/17/2024 9:43:23 AMIt's crazy how far will people go to get a weapon they don't need and will actually not use much at all. Even for pvp, prosecutor destroys summoner, and you can get it in a dungeon, free dungeon btw. You're just falling for what streamers tell you and you never learn. You will be 100% fine without getting an adept summoner. 100%.

2 RepliesSome players just can’t handle not being as good as they think they are. Otherwise they wouldn’t be in the forum crying, cause they’d be dominating. They just want participation rewards and think they deserve it. Pretty sad.
-
Or do what you’re actually intended to do. Find the fun in improving yourself. It’s an enjoyable journey a lot of people shrug off
-
Yes good, dont play.. the guns will get nerfed in 3 weeks anyways

Another idea to throw out there for those that want loot via Passage of Persistence and Passage of Mercy, a good idea is lots of practice. What I mean by practice is spend a lot of time devoted to different aspects of Crucible. Do some 3v3 modes and comp, not for comp or the idea of comp rewards but to get a feel for playing more cautiously and learning the good angles of certain maps and lanes. With that mix it up with 6v6 and play like its a 3v3, play more cautiously and rely on nearby allies, this helps you learn better team dynamic and what weapons work for you. Occasionally hop into the free-for-all mode and see where you stand, you want to be the top guy or near there. These are suggestions to help you improve your play. I came back to this game lost and confused after a long hiatus and I decided to learn something by going through almost all of the old PVP, a lot has changed but I have seen auto metas and found how to play around it. I don't know the current auto meta but its nothing new, just learn what works for you as a counter and find guns you know how to use well, you can improve and get the loot your after. I might not be much for PVP these days myself but take my advice from and old Iron Banner salt that earned his Redrix's Broadsword, sadly I missed the timeframe for its predecessor.

15 RepliesThat won’t work, lot players going for best weapon like example like summoner adapt.

I don't mind if I lose, shoot some of my most enjoyable matches I lost, all I want is to have at least one teammate that can read the flow of the room when playing solo, but I seriously think bumgo MM stacks teams and its purposely made that way, most matches seem to be 5-0s very few is neck to neck But yeah team balance seems to be a problem, and a lack of an forfeit option is insane
-
3 RepliesSolo Player. Less special is great. All those crutch players have to play with something else for once. I hope they dont reel that back. The MM still feels pretty bad. Its hard to strategize or have a plan when your teams go from S teir to F teir game to game. Makes flawless runs not a great time. How do you plan for that. Can you even? Or is it just yep "You have fallen at the gates of the lighthouse" for the 12th time. Id like to see them MM based on skill like Comp but change the whole passage system. If skill based MM is a bad idea and would just result in stalemates on passages maybe a different system altogether is best. X kills, X revives X captures to get your passage. Then its just a matter of playing. People would have more fun and it would still be challenging. TBH comp should have the greater rewards anyway.
-
I think people should play for reputation if they can't go flawless consistently. Regular weapon with good roll is going to be better than average adept roll by far. It's so much easier to farm reputation rather than getting frustration from losing another close match
-
1 ReplyBruh…I get you….but it’s the only way to get an ADEPT weapon when you suck at pvp and can’t go flawless. And you can’t have anyone play for you since Bungo is against that too. Thanks paid influencers. / tubers.
-
1 ReplyNew sandbox is incredibly boring and lame but man is it funny watching all the special weapon mains struggle. Trials has never been easier but I still wish they would revert the changes.
-
8 RepliesIt’s better to do trials early on Friday don’t wait till Sunday or you will be -blam!-

Edited by Mara Sovereign: 3/17/2024 8:55:47 PMThe problem is titles being tied to PVP activities, and hence, since you need a title to rank up ... IMO all PVP players should draw from the same pool of weapons, preferably blue, and with only basic grenade and melee ability
