In reality PvP has been steadily changing for at least a couple of years now. Some people would definitely notice the changes more than others though. A lot of the stuff that has been done is stuff that needed to be done and would have eventually had to be done if the PvP for this game was going to last as long as the rest of the game. They could have most likely done things easier by playing lamp genie more and letting the game remain janky but that's not what they did and eventually that will pay dividends.

Don't worry, in reality we are all blessed by the Duchy. In PvP especially if you have been playing this whole time and you don't notice how those modes work compared to how they worked overall during forsaken. Or you don't notice how things like trials and ib used to work compared to how they work now I don't know what to tell you. Yes they probably should have started on more maps sooner.
