• As a warlock main I wished they nerfed starfire it’s such a boring play style

  • You think that's boring? Try the Strand Osteo Striga/Necrotic build. Oh but that's not going to be nerfed ever because 'reasons'.

  • Not nerf, whats the point in a nerf? To make the class useless?, outside of it they have nothing in the same tier for pve, they need to buff Chaos reach and nova damage. To the same viable level. Problem solved, Npcs always want to nerf things

  • "Npcs always want to nerf things" 🤦‍♂️ The game would crumble under the computational load if everything was buffed, instead of having a few nerfs. I mean the game is crumbling right now lol. Just look at the vex incursion public event. And Spire of the Watcher, in which the most annoying enemy in the entire game had to be pulled out in order to make it challenging (supplicants).

  • Who tf said buff everything? Literally no one touches certain subclasses in each class because they are genuinely trash. You bring the most viable/strong build down to that level, (which isnt hard btw for every 1 'op' subclass there are 3 that are trash and useless,

I think a 1:3 ratio is all you need for my scenario to play out as I imagine. I get that "for every one, there are three" is just a form of a saying, but let's try it. Starfire Protocol is nuts, Winterbite was, Abeyant Leap is, Retrofit Escapade probably is, Wish Ender probably is. Off the top of my head and according to your estimate, I guess I'm saying we're due for at least 15 different buffs. That's a lot, but most importantly we're saying buffs are more important than nerfs right now because power creep, being necessary, was just pushed back. If the sandbox team chronically leans one way or the other, toward buffs or nerfs, then the game dies, like it was in the process of doing before the difficulty changes, I think. It's not about a singular turning point that breaks the game's functionality. It took us 3 years to get to a point where a public event was crashing consoles and killing framerates for the survivors; but we're here now.

What so my point doesn't seamlessly apply to subclasses? In fact if anything is more likely to hurt server health in the event of a buff, it's subclasses over weapons, isn't it? Because ability effects have more load than bullets? So you talking about how this is about subclasses and abilities actually makes my point even more serious lol

  • Listen, I'm not generally not for nerfs either, but if you bring everything up to starfires current level warlocks would be insane.
As a warlock main I wished they nerfed starfire it’s such a boring play style
I don't know about nerfing it, but I refuse to use it because everyone else does and expects me too as well.

  • I only use it if it would really hurt not to, so like a master dungeon or something. Otherwise I don't really want to because it just feels broken lol, ever since fusion grenades could hit like rocket shells.

  • Yeah it’s frustrating going into a raid and the first thing anybody asks is “you have starfire right?”

  • Yep thats why i never play warlock unless i really need to loot something like a raid or dungeon exotic. I hate solar warlock but i love arc and stasis. But if i use those subclasses my fireteam will cry.

  • Who in the world would cry over you being Stasis Warlock? Everyone loves those ice turrets man. Unless you don't use them? Which....yeah, that's your bad for sure.

  • I dont use stasis turrets that much in raids i use osmiancy and i spam the nades like normal to get it back instantly and keep freezing everything. No need for turrets in this scenario. And trust me....a lot of lfg teams will cry very loud if you dont use whats the most meta possible because not one phasing a boss will give them balls cancer i suppose. Even in my clan some people will always ask me why im playing something instead of whats meta. But i tell them "because i like it" and they move along since we are friends. (And its not like im sabotaging an encounter anyways)

no what's sad is that's the only dps build warlocks have while running well like arc is just laughable on warlock for dps void and stasis are the next best for survivability but again lackluster dps we dont have any other options to use to remain both relevant and useful
