when flying into the tower takes so long you just turn the game off...

However, it shouldnt take that long to fly to the tower. Just make our ship our social space and our ghost our vault.

10 RepliesAccording to alot of people, the game loads way faster on new SSDs or new consoles (which have NVMe SSDs). Apparently going to the tower takes seconds. Idk I thought loading times took forever to load menus specifically because the servers were slow, since all the items you own is stored on Bungie's side, not your harddrive. But apparently not. Can anyone confirm or deny this that is using a brand new console (Series X only or PS5, not Series S)?

Its old gen users fault. last I check they wanted everyone to load into the tower at the same time which has made it into a bigger problem

I’ve had this happen to me before, I have a ps5 and while most times it’s quick, sometimes I’m sitting there literally 5 minutes later questioning my entire existence and if I’m stuck in a time loop.

4 RepliesThat depends on what you’re using to run the game. For example… PS4 pro is garbage. It can take minutes to get to the character selection screen, as well as take a few minutes for people to render in the crucible. PS5, everything runs wonderfully

5 RepliesI remember when I played on my PS4 and it took over 10 minutes from the time I turned on my console to the time I actually landed in the tower. I hated going to my menu to make changes because of how long it took. But then I got my hands on a shiny new glorious PS5 and Holy Crap what a difference. So much better. 90 seconds tops and I'm in game. I won't even play on my PC any more because the PS5 is just so much better is all ways. You should get a PS5 and make you life better and fill you day with smiles and laughter.

Had that happen yesterday. Must have been 5 minutes before we both just went to the change character screen and logged back in. Landed within seconds after that.
