I'm still matching with lag switchers that I've met in crucible and reported dozens of times.
Lag switching, people who never miss headshots but have an overall PvP efficiency of 0.4, people who run 20 resilience but won't take damage...
I play this game a lot, I get beaten by better players constantly, but getting beat by players who are cheating, who have been reported by myself and clanmates numerous times over months.... And they are still playing.
Why bother reporting anymore? Is anyone listening!?

3 RepliesIt’s a placebo button. It does nothing.

Edited by Sweet Lew 88: 11/3/2022 8:45:58 PMI dont believe that Bungie bans people from one complaint. I believe they need multiple reports just to investigate them. Then maybe, they arent cheaters, they arent going to get banned for not cheating. I hear people complaining about getting banned all the time.

To make you feel like your voice matters. The real solution is to just buy more Silver.

2 RepliesIt's sort of like the button at the crosswalk: it doesn't do anything but it makes you feel in control.
-
You do know it takes a while for them to investigate to make sure the people you’re reporting is cheating. Once it is confirmed they are cheating, the appropriate action will be taken. It’s a different story if you encounter the same cheaters everyday and every time you play. But I guarantee you that this is not the case.
-
Well don't stop reporting. Until you know for certain it doesn't work keep it up
-
1 ReplyI have gotten feedback on a few ive reported, so it works. The best approach to reporting blatant cheaters is to send a clip to bungie through their website.
-
You kids don’t seem to understand that lag comes from crossplay and Bungie’s P2P system, and the majority of players aren’t intentionally lagging.
-
The report button is probably not actually connected to anything 😂

Edited by Da Calibrator: 11/2/2022 10:37:33 PMYou read about these massive ban waves and then a few days later you keep seeing cheaters in the game. You report obvious cheaters and what do you know they're still around weeks later. No one even acknowledges the reports in my experience. Makes you wonder. They (all video game developers) need to be transparent about what the obstacles are and stop acting like our lying eyes don't see the issues. p.s. they should make legit players completely undetectable to anyone who's cheating until the cheats are turned off. Either that or immediately disconnect them from the game until they restart it every time a cheat is detected. Should work about as well as what's been done so far. Cheaters make the game extremely stressful and unfun even when you're winning.

Edited by Hyperion724: 11/2/2022 10:32:15 PMCheat all you want in PvP, no punishment. Report said cheaters, no punishment. Send them a curse word in a message &/or post their name(s) on the forums, you get banned within five minutes. Not just on Destiny, in online gaming in general. How in the name of Golgoroth's A-hole is that fair?

1 ReplyEdited by PRINCE_ALI_1985: 11/2/2022 8:25:27 PMDon’t bother bro just block them and move on

I haven’t been playing for long, but it seems like bungee is definitely having an issue with this. That yt channel idea would be good, too- so long as the people reporting hackers kept their bungee info private to avoid their accounts being shut down or “summarily suspended”.

4 RepliesEdited by Gambit: 11/2/2022 8:20:50 PMDo NOT report them to Bungie. They will NOT do anything about it. You have to report them to XBox, Playstation, or Steam. They will ACTUALLY do something. I have seen it happen. Me and a friend reported someone and Microsoft sent us both and email about it.

Only influencers can get people banned

Bot learns that controller aims for people and that everyone including himself play on 200kbps wifi

4 RepliesThese reports have to be verified manually. They are getting literally tens of thousands reports every day with most of them being bogus.
-
I don't report people anymore. Mainly because I don't really play Crucible that much these days, but secondly because cheaters will always exist, and it's Bungie's problem, not mine.
-
3 RepliesI lag like a mf on pc but not on console

4 Repliesthe report works I still occasionally get feedback about players I reported got banned so maybe they are not cheating just their connection is dog -blam!-

6 RepliesBecause they aren’t cheating, you’re missing

I think you already know the answer to these questions.
there is no point

no one is listening
A better question is why do you play destiny PvP. Almost certainly increases salt to critical levels.

8 RepliesI regularly run in to blatant chronus users. Mandk users. However bad you think the cheating situation is....it's way worse. And they can do nothing about it.
