So I guess we’re all supposed to pretend like we didn’t just get a a nerf to Orb regeneration coming into a 200 level increase expansion!?
We will need those sweet spheres of hope more than ever!!!
Playing the game now as really made me appreciate every time I see them lying around.
If there’s an Orb there’s a Way!

No issue, the issue here is that people need to stop complaining about something that is not a issue

20 RepliesEdited by hate n payne: 1/23/2022 6:46:41 PMYou shouldn’t be surprised. Look at how long PVP has been neglected and still hasn’t been talked about. Their focus is Trials, Eververse and bringing content back from D1. Even Collections has remained untouched which could have easily been a solution for vault problems.
-
No they didn’t, because it’s not an issue and they already addressed it in their TWAB.
-
12 RepliesOn top of slowing abilities in general. Yeah. Some space magic game. Don’t expect them to reverse it. They are just looking for ways to weaken us, makes their job easier.
-
1 ReplyThis to me is the same thing they did with champion mods. They were fine on the weapons themselves, but then they shifted it to armour. (I understand exotics couldn’t stun champs, but hey if you want your exotic to stun champs then sure implement on armour mod, but don’t remove the mods for legendary weapons). Now in this case, masterwork weapons generate orbs? Ok let’s move that into the armour as well. It is kind of annoying that they keep moving weapon based “mods” to armour…At least give players a choice.

I dislike the change too. I liked how it was before, especially for my charged with light build. But only because the forum complained about it, it doesn‘t mean it‘s an issue that needs to be addressed.
-
22 RepliesBecause it's not an issue. There's more to the game than orbs and supers you know. Maybe you'll actually learn how to play the game now?
-
1 ReplyDon't worry about it. Once the Witch Queen launches these forums will be on fire about server issues, pvp broken still, void 3.0 ruining crucible (for some reason or other), weapon crafting will have multiple complaints I'm sure, it's bound to upset the playerbase as it won't be what they want. Eververse as usual will be a topic for complaint. The campaign will be too short, there won't be enough new strikes (we already know no new pvp, or gambit maps, these are months away). TLDR orbs will be the least of our worries once WQ launches. (I'm still looking forward to it though).
-
1 ReplyPersonally, I don't have any problem with the orbs, since I can use light wells or strategist cells to obtain light charges, it's a question of seeing what options we really have to remain powerful.
-
4 RepliesI thought you just removed band aids and moved on with your life without addressing it? Weapon orbs were a poor attempt at addressing bad cooldowns during Red War when this game was on heavy life support. This change was a long time coming. Sadly, I see its spoiled so many players.
-
Everyone complained about ability nerfs and you now have paragon grieves orb generating 1 hit hammerstrike build. Axiom bolt builds. - I have 50 intellect nova bomb and used super in trials because of build. Will probably be the same situation when witch queen launches. Bungie just wants you to build into it instead of ez free power.

Edited by Kiro - 13: 1/23/2022 12:44:30 AMI'll likely never make orbs of light again other then from casting super if it goes live as a armor mod. Reaping Wellmaker + Elemental Charge as a hunter to activate Protective Light from now on will be my pve game plan. Also RIP Star-Eaters.
-
2 RepliesThey definitely don't want to talk about it. And of course the simple solution to this " Exotics with no catalyst make no orbs" solution was that all exotic weapons would have the intrinsic property to make orbs on multi kills. Instead, you now have to chew up a Ammo Finder Slot on your Helmet for a New Mod to make orbs OR without it you can kiss your "Charged with Light" mods, your mods that charge your super or abilities goodbye. The obvious reason why they are doing it is to weaken are guardian even further so that the meagre amount of content in WQ will be stretched out and made artificially harder to extend play times.
-
They always do. It’s nothing new
-
They made the decision, we complained, we will be heard but ignored. They’ve never gone back in a design decision once it was made. They’re just telling us it’s happening.
-
I've lost all respect for bungo and their nerfinty2 game absolute joke now
-
Lmao naw were good.. well you might not be maybe you crutch on protective light and those mini orbs to keep it up.. but I cam honest say i seldom pick those orbs up because they are out of the way
-
2 RepliesLol, it seems so. They say more is coming but I think the backlash was a bit too much or more than they expected. I've strongly considered canceling at this point. Why buy something you're probably not like
-
-blam!- is making all these dumb decisions??
-
The main annoyance with it is the added friction to a already clogged mod system. If it was just one mod that made it on multi kills you made orbs fine. But no its based on element, so 5 different mods if they have kinetic separate. Honestly I do wonder if this is there usual sledgehammer approach to nerfs, where they nerf it hard to being it back up a little and say “We’re listening”. And to all those saying they are fixing an issue, who was really complaining about it that much? They barely give any super energy so it was manly useful for charged with light builds. Which is mainly protective light to barely survive end game activities. It just doesn’t feel like the best way to do it for a lot of people but in all honesty we barely get any say unless we really shout. Like what happened during season of the worthy, so most just have to deal with it and hope that it gets better…. Which I’m pretty sure is said a lot also….

Edited by Double07: 1/23/2022 2:33:04 AMI wonder what it would have been like if they were more like DE.
-
May the Orbs be with you
-
I mean in the twitter post they did say something along the lines of "more info in the coming weeks" so I dont think we are going to get any follow up on any controversial change until a few weeks go by. They already have your money so why do they care how everyone reacts to their dumb -blam!-. Im just really curious why they cant tell us what mediocre upside there is to giving more space for weapon memory.
-
4 RepliesWhat issue? You talking about the whiners that complain over every change made to the game? Thats not an issue for Bungie to fix. Thats on the whiners to grow up
-
5 RepliesThese are probably written weeks in advanced, and then slightly edited with new things. Here’s exactly what will happen; They’ll ignore it until the update drops. They’ll wait, despite all the complaints hoping for 2 outcomes; 1.) You either suck it up and get used to it 2.) They eventually change it under the disguise of “see, we’re listening!” See sun setting as an example.

… well back in my day….
