The weekly 1.5 hour long update that essentially changes nothing. Rockstar doesn’t need to do that with GTA. I don’t even know what’s up with orbs. People need to stop paying $200 per year to play this game. I hate that it’s my favorite game.

9 RepliesEdited by TheShadow: 1/19/2022 1:10:35 AM
Bungie should sell Destiny to a competent developer
Poor leadership leads to poor development. I actually kind of feel sorry for the devs that do the actual work looking at all the work put into this game to only have the higher-ups trash their work. I can almost guarantee the devs would do a hell of a lot better work if the higher-ups were competent. This game would be in a much better place if the devs actually had a say. It takes heart to create a game like destiny, not just a wallet...

27 RepliesPeople actually crying about maintenance. LOL. Children will complain about anything these days.
-
5 RepliesWhat do you want them to do? Not maintain the servers? It only lasts a couple hours at most. As Axl Rose once said, "All you need is just a little patience".
-
7 RepliesThen who would you like to buy destiny?
-
3 RepliesThe game is fun. I don’t know what you’re smoking. If you’re referring to pvp who care that mode is awful
-
You cant even tell who's running this game anymore lol it's the same bare minimum ever since the split.
-
Are you seriously complaining about a maintenance update?
-
3 RepliesMy biggest question is why does d1 go offline too?

People need to stop paying $200 per year to play this game.
Then stop? You literally have the power to stop getting upset over this game lol
-
Updates and maintenance are not the same. Maintenance is background stuff that just keeps the game from going to -blam!- on the programming level. Updates add to the game, be it content, visual improvements, etc. Bungie performs MAINTENANCE every week, they do not have a weekly update. And it's only 1.5 hours for you, it's forty minutes for me, it's 3 days for my buddy in Oklahoma who's on satellite internet in the boonies with a house of six people on one connection. Know what I do during the forty minutes D2 is down? I do one of three things: I'm either at work, if I got an early start, or if I'm doing my hours in the evening, then I turn on a streaming service and watch something, or I play something else. Know what my buddy does during the few days he's downloading? He goes hunting. He calls up friends. He goes to work. He spends time with family. Know what you should do when D2 is unusable for an hour and a half? Spend time with family or friends, if you have any, and if you don't, then go watch a movie or something. If that's not an option, then just play something else while you wait. 1.5 hours is NOT worth whining about like a toddler getting put in time out. And...$200 a year? $100 bucks for Witch Queen and 30th bundle. $10 for a season. Assuming 4 seasons a year, that's $40 a year for the seasons. Assuming you don't buy the extras (because extras are NOT needed to play the content) and you only buy the DLC at its cheapest, that's about $60 for the dlc, so altogether you pay $100 a year to play the new content of the game. If you're spending $200 a year on this game, you're buying things you don't need, like deluxe editions, pre-order bundles, and silver for cosmetics. Don't blame bungie for your poor financial skills.
-
Stop complaining, we all know you have spent more money on silver then anything thing else.
-
The weekly 1.5 hour long update that essentially changes nothing.
Well I mean for starters, it wasn't an update. It was maintenance.

As much as I would love to see bungie sell the IP to another competent developer that cares, I doubt it will happen. They need the cash from this game to fund their "other" project. Bungie doesn't have a library of developed games that can cover costs if they let destiny go. I would love to see microsoft get the IP though. They have the cash, the teams and some older bungie devs to make a lot content and fix the game.
-
11 RepliesWell there is hope after today's news of microsoft buying Activision. They seem to be acquiring plenty of major studios so maybe bungie will realize they're not capable of making a good game without funding from a publisher.
-
1 ReplyThats crazy talk... any other company would destroy this game... Bungies not perfect but good
-
Buy it
-
6 RepliesThen who should buy it? If you say someone competent should work on Destiny 2, who do you propose?
-
Microsoft bought Activision What developer do u suggest?

I really don’t understand these kinds of posts. I’ve been playing since beta of D1 and while both D1 and D2 has had its problems, this formula of the game is honestly one of the best? At least for me, it keeps me coming back every week! And I’m not even a crucible player, I much prefer the PvE content. If you really hate that it’s your favorite game, that is kind of a strange statement isn’t it? You either love it or you hate it, or perhaps you more accurately hate elements of it? If you don’t like the experience you can just play the other games you prefer, no one’s keeping you here…
-
100% agreed. Bungie is out of touch with not only gaming, but what this community wants / needs.
-
Literally every game that has servers would like to know your location.
-
5 Replies200$ a Year? I only pay 70-80$ a Year......what you Buying?
-
I mean, daddy MSFT be spending the big bucks, maybe they’ll go back there? 🤷♂️
-
You think this game is all that bad and painful to play, try playing Monopoly with your wife or whoever, then you’ll understand real pain and feel glad you have Destiny to fall back on later.
