Just wait folks bungo is testing if you buy dungeons separately.
See what they can get away with. Most will say it’s ok
Then what else can they get away charging you for.
It won’t end folks til you wise up a tell bungo to go f..k themselves.
Money rules in both directions.

I would be all for charging everything separately, then I can pick and choose what content I want to purchase! Gambit? No thanks!

4 RepliesEdited by Darth Lunchbox: 12/3/2021 1:46:12 PMBungie could decide they are going to charge separately for each and every weapon in the game and there would be people that would defend it. Sad.
-
Idc about the dungeon, I'm looking forward to the free activity.
-
For real. People left this game during D2 Y1, and in return, we got Bungie to actually try, and create Forsaken. Why can’t we do that again?
-
Edited by Joulevette12: 12/4/2021 6:59:22 PMWatch weapon crafting will be monetize like transmog making us only be able to craft a limited amount of weapons a season might be 10 to 15 Max for more we will have to pay
-
Honestly it could be worse.

34 RepliesTrue. But you're missing the point. Most of the people who are likely to play dungeons have already bought the deluxe edition. What Bungie is actually doing is trying to disincentivize people (mainly PVP players) from wanting to pick at the game, and buy its pieces "a la carte". Because when people do that, their revenue stream is less predictable, and it makes it difficult to plan content and staffing into the future. Bottomline is that this is not a FTP. If you want to play the game, then you need to be willing to support it financially...and what Bungie is asking for in return for a YEAR's worth of game play isn't that unreasonable. I paid $70 for Guardians of the Galaxy. Got about 15 or so hours of play out of it....and that's it. Nothing to do unless I want to go back and replay the same content at a higher level of difficulty. Which I don't enjoy doing with story driven games.

2 RepliesEdited by TheShadow: 12/3/2021 3:04:17 AM
See what they can get away with. Most will say it’s ok
They know what they can get away with, and Luke Smith proved that years ago. It's just a shame they don't know how to create a decent game anymore 🤷♂️

Get your money up, not your funny up 🦁

27 RepliesYeah my local bakery wants to charge me for cakes! How disgusting!
-
Sounds like a classifieds ad.
-
2 RepliesPretty obvious they can get away with anything. It's kind of funny that people still think that "let your wallet do the talking" crap still works. We are LONG past that. Nothing is going to change and in fact it will only get worse. Just go through all the youtube videos about the Anniversary Pack and Witch Queen, go through the comments. You'll see. It's all people talking about how to "prepare" for the new content. They don't give a -blam!- about charging for dungeons. They (somehow) care about farming for some pile of trash niche weapon they won't even use because Rick Kackis told them they need it for the Anniversary Pack.
-
1 ReplyI can't blame people who are okay with what Bungie does. The only thing I can is be responsible for myself. It's my decision - if I buy any further content or not -, my freedom. I think it wont be "better". The DCV is active, sunsetting was executed and more monetizations are in progress. It will continue like that, and that's not good, at least from my perspective. I had give away the Anniversary Content. To everyone. That would have made a lot of people happy, and maybe just a few "sad". ; )
-
2 RepliesMaybe they will sell PvP content separately, every 1000 days...
-
Say your mom won’t let you use her credit card without actually saying it. I don’t know how entitled you live your life but most of us pay people for the content they make.
-
Wait let me see if I understand this right? Bungie created a new dungeon and wants money for it ? The absolute nerve of them .
-
But is there actually any extra cost aside from paying up front? The dlc still costs the same... The seasons still cost the same... All they are making us pay is up front for the content. I mean don't get me started on the amount of monetization that this "paid" free too play game has, that I don't agree with, but that is more of the actual discussion than them saying hey buy this dungeon.
-
13 RepliesGood. Less content for those free to play players.
-
7 RepliesEdited by T_rar: 12/3/2021 9:11:41 PMShocking...artists want to be paid for their work. It's only a seperate payment if you don't buy the year pass. At first glance it looks shady but once you get the facts and think about it, this is a non issue. What I find negitive about it is it can drive players away when they are constantly seeing popups saying no you have to pay for for this and that. Make everything in the game one payment once a damn year so players know exactly what to expect. Make a discounted package for new players to include ALL the current content in the game as ONE package. Telling someone you have to buy buy buy constantly makes it feel shady.

12 RepliesThe forums: Bungie it’s dumb that players have to purchase the deluxe edition just to get DMT and Hawkmoon. Bungie: alright we’ll make them available outside of their missions next season. We’ll also make the new dungeons purchasable separately from their seasons to allow players who skip a season to access the dungeons without the deluxe edition. The forums: Wow you guys are so greedy, what are you gonna try and get away with next?
-
9 RepliesThank goodness they started charging for content again. All the freeloading has absolutely ruined the game.
-
I agree it’s a test next will be premium pvp pack… pay for a season and access to new maps are extra

Why do people like you consistently and constantly come to the forums to whine about something that will not change. If this is the way the gaming market will adapt to there's nothing that can be said or done to avoid piece meal monetization of Destiny 2 or other games adopting this model. Ultimately, you can do one of two things; do you like the game, if so buy it, do you not like the game, if so stop buying future products and stop playing. Simple. Businesses have to make money; economic changes happen all the time either way. $10 extra for an entire year's worth of content is not that bad of a price regardless if you agree with Bungie or not. In my opinion, $10 more for a year's content including dungeons is actually kind of bottom on my list of worries. There are a ton of other problems that need to be dealt with before pricing is really a problem.
-
Personally I think if you're playing for free you get minimal content and absolutely NO say in the game......period.
-
Desperation is surreal here. State of the game... A state of desperation.

Are they 10 cents a pale?
