Pinnacle gear question
Couldn’t find a clear answer online. If I complete a pinnacle gear challenge and I’m not using my most powerful gear; will the level it drops at be lower than if I used my most powerful gear? For example if I complete a challenge at 1344 will the pinnacle gear level be lower than if I switched my gear to make my power level 1346?

11 RepliesHi there! No, it is enough to have the highest gear in your inventory.

It’s important to know pinnacle gear caps at 1330 this season any bonus light level you’re above that comes from your artefact. But they changed the way pinnacle rewards work in D2 from D1, now you no longer have to have your highest level gear on or even in your inventory. It can be in your vault or on another character. But if it’s on another character only weapons will count because armour aren’t interchangeable.

It was that way in D1, if you were not wearing your highest gear when you collected a powerful reward or decrypting an engram it will drop lower based on the gear you had equipped. In D2 your highest gear can be in your vault when you ckllect a pinnacle but the game already knows what your highest potential level can be and drops accordingly.

2 RepliesNo. The gear will drop at your highest light level up to 1330. Bungle takes into account any weapons and your highest light armour (for a class), whether they are on you or in your vault or on another character (of the same class).

4 RepliesAs long as you have your highest in you inventory, your pinnacles will drop as if you had them equipped. You could do 3 crucible matches at 1100, but if you have the gear to get 1329 you'll get pinnacles at that level.

2 RepliesTo answer your ? as long as you have all your highest gear in your inventory.. not necessarily used, you will get the appropriate LL pinnacle . If you have them in your vault your screwed. You have 3 weapons and 5 armour pieces, 8 all told. Add all the last digits of the items level... if it's a 0 count as 10. if your total is say 63 ( it's 1 short of a multiple of 8)... you'll need something to go up by 1 to get you to a total of 64. Sounds complicated...... but it really is simple.

Just have the gear on you or your vault and it will count towards your knuckles ... although if you're anything like me you will just get a helmet over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over ...

5 RepliesYou just need to have the gear on you. So if you swap out a few things but still have the stuff with you it will count towards your highest possible light. Not sure if this works with items in the vault, but 100% know it works with items on you.
