Opinion 1) I think you have rose colored nostalgia glasses about d1. There were months and months and months in that game where nothing was even updated. In D2, we are getting new stuff ever three months or so with seasons.
Opinion 2) Bungie will never be able to make enough content to satiate the unreasonable expectations of the ultra hardcore part of the community. They’ve leaned into seasons that give a decent amount of content for the hobby player.

I would much rather have content drop rather than ‘drip’
-
That's what everyone said until the taken king and we ran out of stuff to do in two months and we had to wait six months for a little bit of content. And that was one of the biggest expansions we've ever gotten.
-
Yes. And I liked that dlc
-
So did everyone else, what we didn't like was the six or seven months with no content and we had to be given an emergency update to add something to the game to keep us going until year three.
-
You do.... Big content drops are in tbe fall. Witch queen got delayed though I think
-
They still stretch it out. I’d rather have no seasons and no roadmaps
-
So to clarify what exactly are you asking for then? Content in tbe seasons just outright not existing? Or there just being a massive dump of content once a year?
-
One massive dump of content so I’m allowed to play other games without having to come back to destiny every two weeks
-
But you can do that now.
-
You are allowed to play other games. Skip a season, it’ll be okay. I promise.

D1 Vendors updated regularly, with.......... Wait for it......... .............
New gear !!!!!😎😎😎😎❤❤❤❤😍😍😍😍
I don't ever remember being bored of D1.
I don't ever remember being bored of D1.
Same

You also don't remember how we got dlc that was done in less than a month and have the rest of the year of doing nothing either. One day you'll remember how bad D1 was.
You also don't remember how we got dlc that was done in less than a month and have the rest of the year of doing nothing either. One day you'll remember how bad D1 was.
I honestly didn’t notice the content drought in D1 on account of ‘I had other Games to play’ to keep me occupied while I patiently waited for the next DLC. People who complained about Content Drought literally had no other Games to occupy their time with when we had a lot of great Games that came out like Borderlands, Mass Effect, etc etc. people who complained about Content Drought are people who only want to play one Game and that is quite frankly unhealthy for both the player AND the Developers due to crunch.

It doesn't mean because you didn't notice it, it didn't exist. The game had very little replayability and even back then we had similar complaints about things to do. Being patient is fine but it's something Bungie took advantage of time after time.

Well I ment as repeatable content that was not always the same, I mean actually missions, you could repeat the starting mission all the way to the black heart, but sadly we don’t get that
-
I’ll agree with that. I said somewhere in a thread not terribly long ago that we should be able to replay the campaign missions for the expansions at any time. The icons/coding setup for it is already in the game for new light players and new characters. They just have to give an option to restart it at the quest kiosk in the tower or something like that.
-
Yeah I get you, instead, you could just delete your character but then again that would be a waste of time
