What’s lost on me is WHY it makes the distinction for Fusion/Linear and NOT a distinction between a Scout/Trace rifle?

This is Bungie we’re talking about. It’s probably bugged and will be fixed in a future update in 2025.

It’s not a bug though, they seriously consider them two competing weapons for the sake of adding more bounties and forcing stupid steps on exotic quests
