He’s no longer the game director that’s why. Joe Blackburn is now the game director. He was brought in originally with the Taken King Expansion.

That’s when he was the game director. He’s now doing something in media. Joe Blackburn took his place. Luke Smith is no longer the game director.. Luke Smith hasn’t been in that position for a week now...

I havent been on since early Jan due to various reasons... i guess that is a good start then his not being involved in game direction.

Well he got promoted to run everything in the Destiny universe, the game, merch, t.v., movies.... Bungie lead still has to report to him, and if Luke doesn’t like how the direction is going, seems he still has final say since he is the one in control of everything Destiny now.

That is not what i've read... he is on the lore and universe side for new media, not the existing game development decisions... As long as he stays away from any involvement in game decisions, then D2 has a brighter future...
