Sd card format

So I have a 128 gb sd card already set to fat32 and the 3ds still won’t detect it. Is there a way to fix it or do I need to buy another sd card

I believe you need to format to fat32 and set the cluster size to 64kb for bigger than 32gb sd cards.

Are you sure they use fat32? Even if it’s already set to the right format (whatever that is) then you may still have to format it via a PC or something. I don’t use a 3DS but the card I used for my switch I had to format manually cus it had stuff on from the manufacturer that the switch just wasn’t having. Might also be the size of the card, I know some devices just won’t read cards over a certain size.
