Doesn't it seem like bungie always does this, especially when warlocks are strong in PVP? I expected top tree dawn to be nerfed before they nerfed stasis. And they don't nerf one thing, they immediately go all out. Compare the nerfs to nova warp, striker titan and spectral blades. Even after two buffs, nova warp is still trash.

18 RepliesWhen hunters can't ape farm with mindbenders and hand cannons, that means it's time for a warlock nerf.
-
No the community overreact's as usual!
-
Ill agree that the Melee Range was too severe and perhaps the Super Duration nerf was pointless but everything else was needed. Increase the melee to 20-22 meters and its fine. Revert the Super Duration... its 3 seconds 😒

9 RepliesCrutchlocks gunna crutch 🤷♂️
-
1 ReplyI think they just got scared a team of 6 warlocks would make there precious world first race last 10 minutes
-
26 RepliesWhen was the last time people who always claim NW is trash have actually played it? I still have a BLAST with it in the crucible. It could use a pve dmg buff I suppose though
-
Triple multiplicative nerf = garbage ability now. It’s as if nobody tested it.
-
And under reacts when hunter is op
dont hit me
-
1 ReplyYup the freeze time for snap grenades and all warlock abilities should be bumped up to 2.5 seconds of freeze time the time your abilities are on cooldown now doesn't match the lethality it should have. And the melee should have 4 meters added back to it most melees in crucible are in that 16m range but while in pve I find myself throwing my melee in the 20m range and it just fizzling out 2 meters away from my target.
-
1 ReplyOnly Titans are allowed to be OP my friend.
-
It took bungie what felt like a month to nerf spectral blades or oem but whenever an op warlock meta pops up it’s gone in days
-
1 ReplyI'm shocked they did it so fast. I've never seen an entire subclass overhaul in just a week
-
My only complaint is the melee range tbh. Makes sense for PvP since far smaller maps and instant freeze, but man it's almost as bad as Ball Lightning were it not for the instant freeze.
-
Atleast your super was playable in PvP.... The titan super doesnt even freeze or have any slowing effects in the kit.
-
17 RepliesComing from a warlock main, the pvp nerfs were fine. Crucible felt waay better to play. But the seeker speed nerf hurts pve too much. Enemies usually die before seekers get to them and being frozen. This makes the super way worse in pve too. You can only get 4-5 kills no matter how much health the enemies have. This can be fixed by introducing new aspects.

23 RepliesWarlocks overreact when bungie balances their op classes. Second thanks for admitting it was op and needed a reworking.

Edited by Tragedy: 11/21/2020 3:40:05 PMIt’s funny that they did this, Hunters have had bullshit invis, shadestepping ever 10 seconds, a super where u don’t show up on the mini map(spectral) all the cool exotics that never get brought up or touched, arc super that reflects all other supers, including stasis, a helmet that gives u your health back by dodging, which they can do every 10 seconds, but OEM was awful! People at Bungie are Hunter mains, That’s why they get all the shit to use for crutches! Hey Titans got gauntlets that give you an oversheild....butttttt we can’t run, jump or do any kind of lateral movement at all! But yay! Hunters literally got an exotic that makes them phase shift with no restrictions on anything which is complete horse shit to begin with! But yeah, crutches kids.....crutches 1 more thing, look at the majority of players that play in the crucible! Hunters!!!!!! They had to balance guardian games because their is so many of them! At some point it’s gonna be time to look at them in pvp and really balance the shit out!
-
6 RepliesA super that could stack and insta kill bosses. A melee ability that could freeze supers from across the map and render them useless. Which you could have 2 charges with an exotic armor, or infinite charges with an exotic weapon. An augmented ability that tracked indefinitely as long as you were killing frozen enemies. I’m not sure what exactly constitutes “broken” to you, but those are 3 varying degrees of brokenness applicable to all aspects of the game. Take your pick. Any one of those is enough to call it broken. It’s still really powerful. Calm down.

The main issue for me is bungie for just don't learn, it's a new subclass, people should be enjoying it but instead the nerf it and it's now rubbish in pve, they did exactly the same with nova warp. Just ruins the whole new experience. Mediocre game, mediocre content, premium price......no thanks. I was on the fence about buying it but waited to see what was happening, won't go near it now.

Edited by Madness Tus: 11/21/2020 9:47:32 AMThey had plans to nerf Warlock and other elements of stasis way before they release the expansion that's why they were able to do it this quickly they were just waiting for the community to complain about it. They were 2 steps a head and im surprised but however still does a bad job of balancing though. The melee and super should left untouched all they had to do is fix the DPS that the super does on bosses, the real problem was the duration of freeze and cold snap grenades in Pvp
-
It happens all the time. I really don’t know what their problem is. Hunters spectral blades are still cracked. Going all the way back to D1, Titans had hammers run wild for months and months... they had their striker class be a nightmare to deal with...and then the WL has nova warp be an actual answer so some of these other supers and... oh wait never mind it’s now actual feces
-
I think it’s easier to tweak/buff something underwhelming than to start balancing/nerfing something too powerful. Not sayin it’s right to do, just my perspective.
-
In destiny 1 it was hunters getting nerfed every time you turned around. In destiny 2 its warlocks. If there was a destiny 3 it may of finally been titans turn to get neutered.
-
Always have, I think it’s because we are the least played class. Bungie catering to the majority again.
-
2 RepliesThey always overreact. Usually very late... not this time. And it does feel like they nerf warlocks sooner then other classes but this is coming from a warlock main so... It seems bungie hit the mark better when they bring something a little weak and then buff it. This weeks nerfs feel too far spread, too soon.
-
2 RepliesThey only proved one thing to the player base with this nerf, that working from home is NOT an excuse that making changes takes longer to do! They can do just fine from home, but because of their precious raid race all is possible...
