Since it revolves around using the Infinite Forest for the Haunted Forest which is found on Mercury thats being vaulted this year after the event is over, my suggestion for next years FOTL is to have us run around in a Pyramid Ship away from the Darkness Nightmares. It would be soo much better, it will give a new area and not an old one that gets boring after doing the same thing. You want suggestions, you are HOPEFULLY listening to them, this is MY suggestion to do for FOTL 2021. I thought up of this after realizing (with help of a Clan Admin) IF Beyond Light wasn't delayed, where would this year's FOTL take place at? A Pyramid Ship would be the PERFECT setting since they are in the orbit.

or have it be located in the abandoned parts of the city

My guess is that just the Infinite Forest will return for that event. I wouldn’t expect anything new.

I'd like to see it... on the Dreadnought. No hype, no lead-up, no reveal, just dropped on us cold for Halloween and Event Horizon (1997) level creepy.

Edited by The Last Vagitar: 9/10/2020 8:29:47 AMThat or the dreadnaught.

I dono....I mean the interference mission ( specifically last week ) was the campaign mission to kill Oryx + a lil darkblade strike....
So don't expect anything new.....
-
Watch this was the main reason why bungie pushed the release till after fotl.
-
That would require making new content. So not going to happen.
-
As excellent t as that is . It’s not gonna happen. FOYL will resume with the haunted Forrest as it’s been for years now . Then next year they will bring back the HF at a new unvaulting haunted forest event . Then it will get vaulted ... then the following year we’ll get a new FOTL on a new improved haunted Forrest Run backwards .... The future is bright ... just not in destiny .

2 RepliesIf you're not suggesting the easiest, laziest route then prepare to be disappointed. Bungie have shown that we should expect it to be the same thing as last time.
-
Nah going into the destiny content vault would be a good setting with you looking for a lost exotic like a pew pew gun
-
But, how are we supposed to have an event if there's a pandemic going on?!
-
Don't get your hopes up, no chance it won't be the Haunted Forset again. Revoking access to Mercury doesn't mean they can't set up a mission there.
-
The Farm should be part of the Festival
-
Make the ghost of Alak-Hul, the Darkblade spawn at night in dark corners of the tower, and let him hunt Guardians. If you look in his direction he vanishes, but might reappear behind you.
-
Since this year's Halloween event will be the last before everything gets vaulted they should do something different this year and make it more memorable and spookier
-
Honestly, I don't mind a once a year event in the Haunted forest, but, what we need is a new thing to do while in it. New enemies, new activity using the same space. New rules to the game not the same thing over again. Its not that exciting and hasn't been for a while, cap it off with most everything purchasable in the Eververse instead of earned through gameplay and it is one of, if not THE worst event bungie has us play.
-
Festival of the Lost should incorporate , on a solo player level, to allow those folks that are not associated with clans to achieve the final goal of pinnacle gear. Public Fire teams fall apart to easily. Ideas for quest/ trials might be descend down into the depths of the wall that the guardians now reside on; have deep with the walls horrors that were left to fester by the Taken or which ever evil group the players oppose. Something along the lines of a ascendant challenge on the Dreaming City but in the depths of the Tower City Walls. Possible a multi-tiered level maze with Bosses and Champions wondering around at random locates on each level. I like the idea of boarding the Pyramid Ship and running into encounters there. Just an idea.

Edited by THA_3rd_GUY: 9/8/2020 11:54:44 AMBungie: "But we went to all the trouble of pushing the DCV back to November. Now we need to come up with something original instead of reusing content for FOTL? Don't you understand how hard it is to make content? Now if you'll excuse us, we need to see how all the new items for Eververse are coming along."

no one is listening

I'm so glad I wont give a s-hit about hitting wave 9 for thr pinnacle drop this year.

3 Replies<I mean, the smaller Pyramids are 4 -blam!-ing kilometers long and the Lunar one is derelict. I'd love to explore more of it and this ain't a bad way to do it.>

my guess for this year is since most people didn't like the last 2 years rewards being legendary autos that will be sunset, there will be no reward at all and nothing will have changed. No Thunderlord catalyst, no new exotics or earnable cosmetics like how they trolled us with a shader we thought was going to be superblack. Probably no new masks either. Eververse will be packed though, and there will be a set for either $15 or 6000 dust, with the past 2 years sets being silver only, maybe lowered to $10, but it's unlikely

6 RepliesI just hope they bring back that badass tree, and the ghosts in the room under Hawthorne.

Fingers crossed for an ACTUAL Haunted Forest
