Rage quitting in survival
Bungie, come on guys...there's got to be something you can do about rage quitters. Ive had several matches this past few weeks, where players have rage quit and put the team at a severe disadvantage. Yes sometimes me and the remaining guy can keep it and win, but most of the time we don't...there should be bigger penalties for those that do this

8 RepliesHow do you know they rage quit? You send out a survey? They could just have bad internet or need to go to dinner or their dog touches the power button with their nose. If they leave because you are losing, they'd probably not help and you'd lose anyways. If you care about your glory, why gamble it on playing with randoms? You never know what you're going to get. Some don't care about winning, have bad internet or might be inexperienced. Stack the deck in your favor and get a team. Get a team, you get to choose players with good internet, coordinate load outs, and communication. Another reason for no raid matchmaking.

Can Bungie do something? Who knows. But you can do something. Play with your own assembles fireteam.

What more can they do? You get banned if you leave 2 matches in 24 hours. I wish you were banned for leaving just one match, but that wouldn’t work since the game doesn’t differentiate a player leaving a match from a player getting kicked because of Bungie’s infamously unreliable servers.

Im sorry but if we are down 3-0 and the whole team is averaging a .2 kd I’m leaving. You can tell when your team is hopeless. Im not getting farmed beacause your scrub ass keeps pushing 1 v 3s and gets destroyed so when I die once or twice I get knocked. Learn how to play as a team. Its not 6 v 6.

2 RepliesI’ll leave a Comp match if my teammates clearly have no idea what they are doing, ignore their teammates, and keep dying in the first 20 seconds of a round. When teammates are like 0.17 and 0.29 through 3 rounds, it’s a waste of time. I’ll just hit orbit and load into a new match. I

Make it to where the screen intrances the player making it impossible for them to mentally or physically leave

Edited by RichGhost77: 8/18/2020 5:00:36 PMFirstly, they might not be rage quitting, there's a plethora of reasons for someone leaving a game. Secondly, what on earth can Bungie do? Lastly, get a pre made team, rather than relying on unpredictable random humans. This will vastly reduce the variance.

I to will leave if teammates are incompetent, I complete enough matches daily, that if I leave a few I have been suspended like once, and than I just jumped into Iron Banner Remember, carry your own wait, and I'll help carry you when you fall, but no one deserves a free carry, that's how fries for Nerfs and Cheaters happen, is cause someone does a Clutchplay and people be salty.

If you quit 2 you're put in a timeout period. A lot of times I find myself either getting error coded or my connection mysteriously goes out when I'm winning....

I seem to do better when a person leaves. It's more lives for me and my teammate. The other team always seems to get cocky and rush and split up. I only play freelance though. Then we also get our supers faster.

1 ReplyI just started solo queueing into the team playlist instead. Things seem to be going much better overall. Between the people who only do offense in the mode that is called survival and the people who quit after they lose one round you're better off taking the chance that you are going to have two people on a team pissed at you if you screw up or end up with bad shot registration.

4 RepliesI think if someone on your team quits the match, they take the point loss for your entire team, if someone disconnects that's fair play and they shouldn't be given a penalty. I don't care if some people will abuse it if it improves the experience for people playing legitimately. (a risk of some bad players abusing systems shouldn't stop them implementing it to improve it for everyone else)
