I’m grinding for the weapon right now - bit late but whatever - but I’m mainly doing it because I just want to have it. I realise that there are better weapons or easier alternatives. Makes no sense really, if I’m being honest. And the grind is really steep ...

I’m in the same boat as you, I’ve always wanted it but never had the time to chase it. Helluva climb to get it. The 300 Luna’s kills in survival I can maybe manage, but the 5500 is kicking me in the balls.

I’m still trying to get Luna’s Howl. Last step. But man, the precision kills don’t come easy. I have a hard enough time in this game mode as it is. Using a hand cannon doesn’t help. And going for precision kills definitely doesn’t help! I got like 5-10 kills with the hand cannon each game so far but only 1-2 registered as precision kills. So yeah ... that’ll be 50 games then.

What HCs are you running?

Tried different ones. I’m going back and forth between Crimson and Malfeasance. I’m most consistent with those. Tried about everything else but I can’t get the recoil patterns down with most of them and I miss like 60% of my shots when things get hectic.

Crimsons a good choice, although sometimes Malfeasance screws me over so I generally don’t use that unless I’m under leveled. If you feel like using a 140, Ace is very solid. Get a kill, Proc Mori and make the enemy flinch, while also getting an easy headshot. Thorn is meta, but a bit hard to dome heads if you don’t 3-tap them quick enough due to DoT. Trust is farmable in Menagerie and still VERY reliable. If you want to hurt yourself use Sunshit. Hopefully these help you out a bit.
