Let’s be honest, a ranged, tracking missile barrage that you spawn with as a melee ability would be a little busted if it 1 hit killed. The balancing for momentum is already shattered, so it’s not a great idea to add in some more broken things.

im not saying, 1 fireball out of 3 should 1 shot, im saying if all 3 manage to hit, then it should kill em. its unfair compared to every other melee.

It’s obvious that when I said 1 hit, I wasn’t referring to one of the three fireballs. But their tracking is insane and they fly straight and across the entire map so it’s not too comparable to Titan hammer. The important note is ‘yeah, other melees one hit but you have to be in extreme risk to pull one off. No matter your opponent, they are capable of shotgunning or hitting you with a melee because that’s the risk you run when you want the reward of a 1 hit melee Doing that at range without the risk that a typical melee would encounter is a little broken. Titans and hunters can do it, but they have the downsides of little to no tracking and curvature. Warlocks however, extreme tracking, entire length of map and flys perfectly straight. Effectively, it takes much less skill with the warlock melee to get those ranged kills. Taking much less skill to get a kill generally Warrents making the ability slightly worse than the versions that require an amount of skill to land. That’s just game balance. It takes much less skill to land a dawnblade melee than it does a throwing knife. So it can’t be as good or else you have a serious problem on your hands.

Its very unlikely that you hit all 3 fireballs... from my experience (coming from a top tree dawn main)

Very likely do you because tracking.exe But their splash damage is almost as high as direct impact damage so you don’t NEED to land all three to deal most of the damage.

Especially on pc, a warlock and dash past on opening, throw his melee out and dash out in half a second. If we are bringing up mobility, that only stands as another reason why they shouldn’t have a 1hit kill ranged melee.

And everything I said IS in relation to momentum. Even in momentum, it’s too easy of an ability to deserve killing a guardian from max health. Too forgiving of an ability and too ‘plays itself’ of an ability to deserve killing a guardian even in momentum
