Just like the title says, the state of Crucible is where it is because Bungie has failed to deliver balanced fireteams and because they’ve given absolutely no incentive for actual gun fights. Everyone and their mom are cheesing PvP with special ammo weapons. Want to fix Crucible? That’s where you start.

Maybe if you didn’t have your account boosted into an sbmm level that you can’t compete in this wouldn’t be a problem.

5 RepliesIf your gonna have an opinion on pvp, atleast have a kd of over 1.... because this take is not it. https://destinytracker.com/d2/profile/psn/Vivelalune

3 RepliesEdited by OneLeanMachine: 2/3/2020 4:43:58 AMNo. Want to know where this mentality landed us last time? The abysmally unfun Destiny 2 Year 1. If you think that’s fun go play a different game, don’t ruin this one again.

Pinnacle weapons Piss poor matchmaking Crappy maps No dedicated pvp servers That's what's ruined pvp

1 Replyyou shouldnt know any of this, you should be looking at a perna ban screen for cheating. You cheated your way into a tier you cant hang in and now complain. Bad players have a say, cheating -blam!- get the shaft and no say.
-
2 RepliesRan crucible with 4 titans, Actium War Rig and Sweet Business. Did not use any special ammo at all but was one hell of a good time.

I would say that teams are "reasonably balance". What is messed up is the composition of those teams. Even if both teams have a 5000 glory player and two 2000 glory players... that is NOT balanced. For the 2000 glory players doing quests requiring final blows becomes a nightmare. The uber enemy player is only a small part of the problem. The real problem is the 5000 player in their own team who knows every trick to take the final blow after the 2000 takes it down to near zero.

3 RepliesThat game history in April and May thooooooo

I’ll take... Did you play D1 after ppl -blam!- and got special ammo nerfed for 500 Alex!

Maybe if you guys stopped whining about primaries. We have some to shut them down with. Theres a select few broken specials. Revoker Backup plan fusions Quickdraw shotgun. Thats about it

I've been tracking my games, the balance is a major and very overlooked issue, most are trying to blame SBMM I don't think it's true SBMM I think it's a bungo mix of BS.
-
Im only get killed by invisible hunters running with shotguns like a primary. They never switch to other weapons. I think, thats the game now.
-
Agree on the special ammo. If some one wants to use it fine; just create playlist where it is reduced or disabled for those, who want to use primaries more.

2 RepliesIntroduced some friends to D2. Trying to replace long left clan mates. Their 1st opinion of Crucible? Unplayable. Not really a shooter with strategy. Could not get time to shoot the weapons before they had been obliterated from all sides by flying knives, and shotguns, snipers etc. Hated it. Called it garbage and laughed saying why did I play this game? So I advised to try Comp. Much preferred. Slower and had time to use their weapons and actually feel the game. In a nutshell x

Funny this was a complaint we all had towards d1 prior to the special changes. D2 released and it was almost all primary fights just like we’d asked for. No one seemed to enjoy it so bungie was forced to return it to a chaotic mess and what a job they’ve done. Can’t really blame them tho, the way pvp is is more the communities fault then theirs at this point

Bungie is a team of deam who's between 30/40 years old like me. They don't play the game with mouse and keyboard so they have absolutely no clue what is going on for the pc version. The matchmaking should be based on overall stats, the sweater you are the more sweats you'll get, so casual players can enjoy the game again together. Snipers, Shotgun, Fusion rifles, have nothing to do in energy slot, any single weapon that can one shot should be gone into heavy slot. Primary = 3 hits to get a kill Secondary = 2 hits to get a kill Heavy = 1 hit to get a kill The netcode is more than horrible and the delay are damn high, they should implement 60hz servers. Since the beginning we tell bungie to get dedicated servers but these trashcans don't give F as all that matters to them is what's inside your wallet and they'll pretend they don't want to spend money on it... Some maps are way too small for 6v6 and need to be reduced to 3v3 or 4v4 depending of the size. The PVE side is really enjoyable and you can feel the love of work they do, but for pvp it really feels like a lack of love of the game, trying to fix some stuff without even giving the community a test to have their feedback. Super should all end after 3 kills done, so spawn killling won't be happening as the super use know he'll have to use strategicly this power. Capture the flag should be already implemented in the game, the equivalent of instagib from Unreal Tournamed should be a game mode too, as lot of players enjoy one shot weapons so they could fully enjoy it. I think that bungie is more focused on Destiny 3 wich i could understand but the state of the pvp is what made me stop playing crucible, it's not enjoyable, it's toxic, you face aimbotters nearly every single game, so i keep myself out of it and enjoyable simply well scripted raids... I won't do any "please bungie get woke" as the playerbase is talking for itself...

I found year 1 to be the best besides the time of wormhusk.

2 RepliesUnbalanced fire teams are a problem, but as I have been saying since D1, crucible needs it’s OWN weapons, completely separate from pve. The best solution is to separate pve and pvp once and for all. Bungie has shown the inability to balance weapons, and all the nerfs in the world won’t change that. PVE should NOT have any more weapons ruined for the sake of pvp!!!!! Some pvp players may not like this idea, but Bungie has had years to get it right, but the problem is WORSE than EVER!!!!! With the addition of pinnacle weapons in pvp, and streamers selling carries to anyone and everyone, pvp has continued to go down hill, and nerfing special weapons won’t change ANY THING!!!!! L

12 RepliesStupid apes. You had the perfect pvp in year one and it was “not fun” for you so you complaned your asses off to change “as D1 pvp”. And now, morons, you have it. You were begging for one shot meta and 6v6 matches, now eat what you ordered.
-
13 RepliesThey just need to matchmake hunters with their own kind. Or make pvp be one of each class so it's a mix. 3 hunters in survival are a pain in the ass to face cause of their stupid abilities that let them dodge all incoming damage along with giving them instant health back. Erintil needs to have a slower charge time and the range needs to be cut in half. For long range fusion rifle kills. Jotunn and arbilist should be used. Both can be dodged quickly and even if they hit you, it's a 60% change it will kill you. Erintil is more like an 80% chance it will kill you and if you are within 2 football fields, you die. lol

Being matched with laggy players sucks. Being matched with garbage players sucks. Loading into matches already halfway over, onto the losing team, where they are getting destroyed sucks. I have a hard time believing that the developers at Bungie are playing Crucible in the actual live game. At least not the ones with any skill. Otherwise the game wouldn't be in the state it is.

Welcome to Destiny. Leave your primaries at the door. But seriously, the games been that way for years. I use primaries, the boys I run with use primaries. But there will always be others looking for the easy road.
