Every time I need to find something I have to go to Youtube or search the Internet for locations and or information! HOW LAZY ARE YOU MULTIMILLIONAIRES that you put out a B product?
You need to hire some people to put in directions! You're purely ridiculous!

If you were new to the game, I’d understand what you’re saying. But you’ve been here a minute, so I’m thinking user error.

Going by your patience level and exploration skill you're better off playing games like COD, etc.

11 Repliesreading this moronic post is like watching a small dog hump the shit out of a big dog. you know it is stupid to watch, and funny and most likely wrong but you can't look away for some reason. you, you are funny Kiddo.

World of Warcraft started putting waymarkers and area markers in their game (hand holding) and look what happened to them. Lowest sub numbers ever. People left the main game for a 20 year old version without the assists. Now people complaining there isn’t enough “assistance” in the game. Bring back old style gaming where you had to figure it out yourself or find somebody who knew. That was, after all, a reason to join a clan...

It's not 100% the fault of Bungie here. In this day and age internet, especially YouTube in this case, has a big foot in how to play games. Without internet everything went from mouth to mouth and you had to be lucky to discover it or a friend knew it. Now those people are the content creatures and community. Games shifted towards this system more. Although I agree some direction could be sprinkled more here and there

8 RepliesEdited by Oinkthebaconking: 12/25/2019 11:16:28 PMThe point of the game is layers of complexity. You can just run around like a dolt only scratching the surface or you can research. They tried to dumb it down for simpletons and the game failed quickly. This isn't Sonic the Hedgehog. In my opinion it's still too simplistic compared to D1. If it's too much for your mediocre mind then go play COD or MHW or some other stupidity. Go play checkers in the park. Or just go away... One more thing. Imagine for a minute the game is a real Universe and you are really the character you play... do you think the instructions for how to break into the Pit of Heresy are going to be written on the wall or in some scrap of paper in a corner? It's called immersion.

Destiny has always lacked any kind of direction or guidance or details on things in the game. I've spent far too much time finding out that something isn't working because I'm doing it wrong or it's doing something different from what would be logically expected. Some recent instances are finding out that the gunsmith repeatable bounties don't give cores, that all the Timelost weapons don't give you the alternate perk choice and that the armor perk selection doesn't work in Menagerie with Armor 2.0. Just a little information on things would save a lot of disappointment and frustration.

1 ReplySometimes in life you have to figure it out
-
2 RepliesEverything in the game is clear as to where it is unless it’s either meant to be a puzzle, or if it’s xur, who by the way you can just type in on google ‘destiny xur’ and find where he is within about 15 seconds

Directions? 😂😂😂😂
-
Clearly you weren't playing when D2 first came out. They attempted to provide directions and failed miserably...most notably the Mida Multitool quest. It was the worst!!! Please do NOT lobby for easier research/directions. The alternative is 1000x's worse! I promise you!!

1 ReplyWhat Dafuq are you goin on about?

Shhh, nobody tell him about Niobe

2 RepliesDon't play it if u don't like it. Or at least get some cheese to go with your whine 👍
-
You are just new to the game... After you played for at least a month you know all the places in the game. If not...then dont blame the game...blame yourself for failing to remember.
-
It’s a conscious decision to incentivize the streamers. Bungie really wants to keep people streaming this game.
-
Bungie just trying to keep YouTube videos of D2 popular. I applaud anyone who actually found the start of the Thorn or Lumina quest without being told where to go, cause that's a bullshit area that nobody would naturally go to for any reason!

Thanks for giving some kick out of this miserable forum. 🤣 Good trolling by the way, “hard to find” is something I would not describe the game by a long shot. Everything in the game is so easy to find with the right amount of patience.

1 ReplyEdited by W33DEDPLAGUE: 12/26/2019 12:28:36 AMPersonally, I like having stuff I have to figure out and don't want everything spelled out for me. As for the basic functions/locations in the game, it just takes time to get familiar. If you have been playing for a while, you have no trouble with that. I'm assuming you are a newer player, and I get that a lot of the game is information overload with so many currencies, items, and perks, etc...but you have 2 years worth of content to figure out so it's gonna take a little while. It's just one of those things where you will get used to them all after awhile. This is a "hobby" game, meaning they want you to play this game regularly, wekly, daily, whatever. So I don't think they feel the need to explain every detail because being a regular player will eventually gain you that knowledge. That's also why they are comfortable leaving things vague for players to figure out. Many of us enjoy that aspect of the game actually. Edit: lol, judging by the comments, it allears you are talking about Xur, and if tgat is the case, it still makes my statement true. He has one specific spot in every map that he rotates to, so after a few weeks, you will always know where to find him. If you want to fly around different planets trying to find him, be my guest. I'd rather Google it in 2 seconds and be done myself. Did has been this way since the beginning, for over 5 years. Maybe this is just a case of me saying "it's always been this way", but it's really not a big enough hassle for me to come here and complain about it, I guess. I believe we have more important priorities that need looked at myself.

1 ReplyXur is completely useless. Haven’t visited him in over a year.
-
I am quite certain this is a design choice. They don't tell us anything and let us figure it out. Creates buzz in the community. If everything was spelled out for you, no one would be talking about it.
-
It’s part of their marketing strategy. The worst thing to happen to gaming was it becoming as popular as it has. Popularity typically ruins the integrity of whatever the thing is.
-
2 Repliesthose kind of things should be available to search for on the app. not everything, but things like where is xur and such stuff.
-
4 RepliesWhat are you having trouble finding?

Or you can find it and use the community. Because that's what's we're here for.
