I'm aware that they should be doing this in Shadowkeep, but when you hit max power, there's no reason to keep getting rare drops. So having the option to turn it on when you're at the endgame power would be a nice option.

Yes, we all feel your pain. What I'm mostly angry about is the case that you need to abort a ongoing strikelist to go to tower and postmaster after every 5-6 strikes. NO, being able to collect shoit from postmaster to your character in the app and then dismantle is not an option either. Solution? Build a bigger postoffice with more space. What is the difference for this and the Vault, or better yet. When postmasterspace is full, automove the rest to the vault. There has been numerous blue rare weapons that has been better that legendary being used both in PVP and PVE. So, as many want to be able to autodismantle, It's not really the best way to tackle the problem.

While I know there have been rares better than legendary (which is odd to say the least) what I've proposed is the option to let the player decide. If you would like to continue to receive rare drops, you can keep it disabled auto dismantle from the settings menu. If I dont want to get rare drops, I can enable auto dismantle from the same place. It lets the player have more control of their inventory management. And again, I shouldn't have to use an external app to retrieve items from postmaster just to dismantle them.

I belive people will forgett what status it is in, and autodismantle by misstake and then rage at Bungie. I mean, I could use your autodismantle on legendary and exotics to. This late in the season there is not a single drop I am looking for. If you build code that allowes the game to dump loot, you will have the chance things end up bad. Now, you're the one that has to make it. Not long ago people lost good weapons and armour through swapping with vault or other character in the app while landing from orbit. That also caused a sheitstorm and rage at Bungie.
