I haven't played any Mortal Kombat games and wanted to know if this would be a good start? It looks pretty cool ngl...

Edited by concreteninja85: 5/2/2019 3:39:46 PMYes, MK11 has it's problems with progression, but NRS is working on it and they have made great improvements so far, although they still have a lot of work left to do with it. The only other negative I can think of is that the game does get pretty grindy. Other than that, the game has great fighting, lots of content, and a pretty nice story. It is also a great entry point for fighting games as it has an amazing tutorial that covers all of the things that you will need to know going into the game, it has so much depth that it even teaches you the basics of frame data. The kombos and moves for the most part are pretty decently simple too. If I had to recommend any game to start with to get into the fighting genre, it would definitely be this one. As a sidenote, if you like the fatalities from previous MK games, then you will not be disappointed here. For the most part they aren't as brutal as MKX, but they go for a much more stylish and cool looking thing, rather than just going for the most brutal stuff (They still do get pretty brutal though).

6 RepliesNo. MK games tend to be pretty poorly made. If you want a fighting game, I’d recommend Skullgirls!
