I haven't seen something get a thousand likes since Bungie changed their policy on who can post! But yeah, factions making a return would be great! Tribalism works in these kinds of games.

Of course, what idiots didn't? Oh that's right, Nose-blam!-all and Smith did. Should have been improved upon, by adding faction wars and rallys.

Go away for a few days and come back to see a topic with 1.2K upvotes - amazing! Not seeing a "Bungie Replied" - while not surprised, saying that I'm disappointed would be putting it mildly. I guess OP you need to add a few cat gifs or mention bread to draw out the CM to the thread.

1 ReplyHow is it that no one at Bungie has posted into this thread with over 1250 upvotes? I really want to hear more on what's happening with Factions as they are my favorite thing in Destiny. Just look at all my armor and weapon shaders and even Ghost projection.

They tried to create an event cycle with vanilla d2, which didn't really work for factions. Calling it a "rally" sounds like some kinda carnival event. The cycle was reworked with Foresaken, which works a bit better considering there are a few layers (dreaming city curse, Iron Banner, daily & weekly resets). With that, factions shouldn't be tied to an event, it doesn't work. In order to make something like that work, it should be on a larger scale on a continuous live event faction war. It seems like that's where it was headed in D1.

At the absolute very least can you reinstate the faction rally grind, give both seasons' weapons and armor random rolls, and have the sets and weapons rotate on a weekly basis? Just give us all the year 1 stuff with random rolls already. -blam!-ing please!!
